| Main disadvantages: The apparently sole restaurant is bright and quite lively but the
service is slow and indifferent with the waiting time to being served
being longer than one expects or feels comfortable with. This is
particularly so with breakfasts. Additionally part of my stay was
covered by another institution that had not only made the booking but
given a credit card number to charge. Inspite of this I had to go
through sending them your guarantee of payment form and having it
executed and sent back. This seemed unnecessarily bureaucratic to me. |
| Main advantages: My second stay my first one being a year earlier. Small, cosy,well
located hotel with generally pleasant and helpful staff. Great location. |

| Main disadvantages: Not specific to this hotel, but beware the additional taxes added on in
America. The headline figure in Booking.com didnt include these
(although it is mentioned in the small print). A anticipated cost of
$780 became $920 because of these. |

entrance allowing easy access to other attactions. Clean and
pleasant hotel. |

| Main disadvantages: Doorman tried to give us a too high fixed fee for taxi back to airport,
once we told him we knew it was too high it was dropped, he seems to be
paid by taxi,s to get trade fron the benjamin, a few taxi's mentioned
this to us and would not pick up from hotel when we were dropped off but
a very minor fault that did not in any way spoil our time there |
| Main advantages: Excellent hotel, fantastic staff especially gina the concierge who was
so helpfull . room was excellent, ask for a higher floor as the views
are amazing. We stayed for a week and would have liked to have stayed
longer. The only problem we encountered was the doorman who tried to
charge too much for a fixed price taxi back to airport and once we told
him we knew it was too much it was dropped but he was not happy and
threw our bags into car! Small problem but he seems to have a ststem
going that cabbies pay him to pick up there, a lot of taxi,s we took
mentioned they did not like him and did not pick up from hotel when we
were dropped off. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a
great hotel in new york. |

| Main disadvantages: The sofa beds need a serious updating. They are most uncomfortable and
we waited along time for someone to come and set ours up. I would not
recommend anyone consider them a viable option for a bed. |

responsive and friendly. The decor is restful, the bedding a dream. |

| Main disadvantages: we couldn't seem to control the heat in our room, so used to get really hot, but we just opened the windows |
| Main advantages: location and price. We were upgraded to a deluxe room on arrival which was great. I would definitely stay again, the restaurant was also good, we dined there after a very tiring day and wanted a quiet night in. the staff were really welcoming and the food and price was just right. |

| Main disadvantages: The bathroom was small given the price and size of the room. There
was not enough space to hang towels or store our toiletries. It
would be nice to have free WiFi (but instead it was an additional
$14 or so a night). |

and ended up in rm 1803 which has a fabulous balcony. |

| Main disadvantages: the weakest parts of the hotel were the slowness of the elevators and the fixtures in the bathroom. On the latter point, the shower head was loose from the wall, made the shower experience feel like it was in a Super 6 motel, and I like using the makeup mirror for shaving but it was broken and bent downwards; it would have been useful to someone in a wheelchair perhaps. |

| Main disadvantages: Two guest elevators are insufficient.The first room they gave mo did not worth the money I was paying. |

| Main disadvantages: The bar and lounge was closed due to decoration which we did not know beforehand. They had converted a suite on the top floor but it wasn't reallly suitable. |

| Main advantages: The staff were very friendly, the rooms were clean and very comfortable. My daughter, partner and 9 year old daughter stayed in one of your suites and was delighted with the size of the room and the cleanliness of it. The location also was ideal it is not far from grand central station. |
