Main advantages: Had a great stay room was great as was the shower nice to have a nice
warm shower,location was perfect could walk to most areas or hop onto a
tram as the line was close to the hotel, not the best area to get food
but again u could easily walk or take a tram to the eating areas. No
lift but the hotel staff had not problems taking up our luggage to the
room. All staff are friendly and helpful,they also have a are downstairs
that you can help yourself to drinks (juice,water) and nibbles like
cookies,dried fruits etc

Main disadvantages: We did not get the room we´ve booked (triple with garden view), but the
alternative room was really lovely and had a Turkish bathroom, so we
were satisfied. The location of the hotel is fair but it is not the best
for baby strollers (or disabled because there is no elevator in the
hotel) and it is situated on a slope. The street which leads to the Blue
mosque and Aya Sofia is very slopy too. The hotel parking (in a very bad
condition, no sign that it is actually a parking area...) is way too
expensive, so we arranged a special price with the owner of the parking
ground and payed directly 40 lira for 4 full days in advance. The walls
between the rooms are very thin, therefore the hotel is not suitable for
light sleepers. The baby cot was very uncomfortable, but there were
quilts in the closet and we´ve solved the problem. Our bed was very
hard, but it was ok. The internet connection was bad. There were only 2
kinds of bread (no wholemeal bread) and a toast bread at breakfast.
Main advantages: The hotel is very beautiful and cosy, the staff were very kind, polite
and helpful. Breakfast was quite good as well: freshly made omelets
(free of charge), bread, juices, cheeses, sausages, fruit, vegetables,
butter, muesli, milk, tea, coffee, ... The a/c was working properly.
We´ve got a small fruit basket, a bottle of water and a small bottle
of wine on our arrival. There was a water kettle with tea bags and
coffee in the room. The room was cleaned daily. The garden was very
cute. The street is quiet. Snacks (olives, cake, tea, coffee, water,
...) were served daily between 10 and 22 (free of charge, except of
wine) in the hotel lounge. Free internet connection in the room.
Overall impression: good.

Main disadvantages: Mild reservations: no stool for clothes in the bathroom; no space for 2
to sit on the very nice balcony: maybe remove the table and add a
second chair there (stool added in the bathroom could serve as a
balcony table too).
Main advantages: We very much liked the hotel's location, its spaciousness and secluded
character, as well as the beautiful garden. The staff were very helpful,
and the design was appealing. It was convenient that a comfortable
shuttle minibus was able to pick us up from the hotel front door to take
us to Sabiha Gokcen airport - although it would also have been nice to
have had information about this service for our arrival.

Main advantages: As soon as I made the booking the hotel contacted me direct to ask if I had any questions re my forthcoming stay. I thought this was a really good service as I was able to ask certain questions that I had direct with the hotel. On arrival we had the most fabulous welcome and were upgraded to a superior room. The whole stay was fantastic room food staff and location were superb - definitely recommended

Main disadvantages: I had booked the one and only executive suite because of the "beautiful seaview and its spaciousness" praised in the on-line hotel description and when we arrived we were shown to a much smaller room with no view. After some insisting we found out that the suite was already occupied. The manager's explanations were rather fuzzy and not very convincing. He told us that we would get a discount. After one night we were moved to the garden suite, which was a little bit more spacious. On check-out the price they asked us was the same that we would have paid for the executive suite. (plus a little over 30 € for the minibar which we had not opened!). Again, we had to insist to get the promised discount (20 €/night). A certain disappointment.
Main advantages: In spite of its central location it is quiet at night. Breakfast in the garden

Main advantages: We received a warm welcome with free drinks and biscuits and an excellent complimentary map of the city with advice where to go when. The garden terrace was lovely - a great contrast to the bustling city. Our room was beutifully and imaginatively decorated with a spacious bathroom complete with Turkish bath.

Main disadvantages: The wireless internet connection was weak but better than most of other hotels.
Main advantages: I stayed at the Garden House - Istanbul for four nights and I honestly wished i could stay more. The hotel is small but so elegant from inside. The Manager Mr. Ayham and Ms. Melisa were so courteous when they welcomed us and gave us one of their best rooms. All the staff were friendly and served us with the best smile and well manner. The location is a walking distance from Sultan Ahmet. The breakfast is delicious as well. Special thanks to Ayham, Melisa and Zomorrot who made our stay very comfortable. I would definitely book at Garden House Hotel next time for a longer period.

Main disadvantages: Our room was directly onto the street although I doubt if people could easily see inside. It could be noisy.
Main advantages: The hotel was relaxed and informal. The staff were kind,helpful and friendly. Breakfast choices were plentiful and it was very pleasant to sit in the courtyard garden.

Main advantages: A very convenient location and a nice room. We were here for five days longer than intended due to volcanic dust and cancelled flights. The hotel staff were very understanding and laid on a complimentary dinner for all their guests which was a nice gesture and very enjoyable.
