The family-run Anatoliacave Pension provides affordable accommodation in Goreme’s fairy chimney caves. It offers free internet access, Turkish cuisine and a shuttle service from Kayseri and Nevsehir. Main disadvantages: The negatives come with the disadvantages of staying in a cave which I have also encountered in another more upscale hotel in Capadocia. The only ventilation of the bathroom is a small hole in the wall towards the room. There was quite some mould on the ceiling in the bathroom. No WiFi connection in the room because of the thick walls.

Main advantages: We stayed in a fairy chimney and loved it. The room was equipped with basic and sufficient furniture. The heater worked very well and we were greatful for it. The room was clean, the beds were good. The hotel is run by a family who is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice, typical Turkish foods, buffet style.

Main advantages: The owners, Bekir and Brit, and the entire staff are warm and welcoming. The breakfast was great and eating in the outdoor patio made it even better. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was modern; everything very clean. We booked the balloon tour through Bekir and had a great time! The owners are often in the patio and available to chat. All in all, we felt like family rather than customers. Great stay - thanks to Bekir, Brit, and staff!

Main advantages: The owners were fantastic, very friendly and very helpful organising our tours and helping us with the bus to leave. Also in a perfect location, really close to the bus station, shops and restaurants.

Main disadvantages: It would be goos to have a fan in the cave. It was a bit hot inside during the day. Wireless just worked in the entrance of the cave and not in the bedroom.

Main advantages: Excellent hotel! Very nice staff! The owners were very supportive, helpful and friendly. We stayed in a cave and it was a delightful experience. Breakfast is varied with fruits, bread, cheese, local turkish yogurt and delights. They gave us all the tips about the hiking, ballooning and sightseeing. We do recommend the hotel and ballooning!

Main disadvantages: Our "chimney-room" nr.14 Was rather a cave-room (real chimney room was nr.13). There was no ventilation in the bathroom, so everything was little wet, and some black mold (fungi) could be found around the bathtube, which is neither plesant, nor healthy. Steps to the bathroom were uncomfortably high. However, we accepted these defects, as we wanted to try the cave-living. But I think that carving a small window into the bathroom would be very helpful.

Main advantages: Nice garden, very quiet, good breakfast, near to the centre of Goreme, nice staff. I liked the sitting place outside in front of our room, with wifi.

Main disadvantages: Since I lived in a caved room,the WiFi was a problem, the signal can not go through the thick wall. Everything else are great.

Main advantages: The owner/staff are very friendly and helpful. They give us a lot great information. Definitely book the hot air balloon with them, it was the best experience. Transportation arrangement was excellent, I did not have to worry about getting to the airport. The yard provide a great view of mountains. 10+
