Main advantages: The location of the Hotel was perfect and very easy short walk to all the main areas in Stockhom. The rooms were warm,clean and well furnished. The bathroom was well designed and shower very powerful. The breakfast was perfect, plenty to choose from to suit all tastes and very fresh at all times. I would not hestitate in staying here again.

Main disadvantages: Our first room was beautiful but completely impractical for two people travelling for more than one or two days - no clothes storage and a shower which flooded the bathroom, making it impossible for the second user. We had to change rooms and were much happier in a more conventional but practical room. The gym was also beautiful but almost unusable - very complex machines with no-one there to explain how to use them, a slippery floor and very bright overhead lights, making it impossible to do any floor work. The electronic security cards kept dropping out and having to be re-set. Without the wonderful staff to sort all this out, these problems would have made the hotel impossible.

Main advantages: Excellent staff who dealt with all enquiries/problems effectively and easily. Hotel was comfortable, contemporary quiet and very conveniently located. Very good buffet breakfast and nice bar. The Tuesday evening club was a very friendly, delightful touch.

Main disadvantages: While we were having breakfast one day a small film crew were filming someone for something or other in the same room and asked us to keep quiet! Not too pleased about that!

Main advantages: Very comfortable bed. Room kept too hot but able to turn heat down and open window. Breakfast very pleasant.

Main disadvantages: A single room is very very small. Just be aware their website pictures are deceiving in terms of size. The hotel appears to be upscale but in the end it is basic. In my opinion, they do not have those little extras that justify the extra price and make you think "yeah this is worth the extra money". Perhaps if you have a larger room it is different.

Main advantages: Excellent Location, very good breakfast, very clean. You can have breakfast delivered to your room for just a small extra charge.

Main advantages: Once you get over how expensive Stockholm is as a city, the Mornington is really good value for money. Last year we stayed in the Nordic Sea Hotel and it was incredibly expensive for a room smaller than my kitchen! The staff at Mornington were so helpful, recommending somewhere for us to eat and getting us an ice bucket for our champagne. Nothing was too much trouble, even helping me to book dinner over the phone because my swedish isn't brilliant. Now we've discovered it, we will always choose to stay at the Mornington.

Robert Dublin, Ireland - Group tour

Main advantages: This hotel is in an excellent location and has great facilities, including a nice breakfast room, a nice bar, a good gym and excellent (and free) wi-fi throughout the hotel. The staff all speak excellent english and are very accommodating. The hotel has really good security, with access to lifts and from lifts to rooms being secured by keycard. The rooms are on keycard too. The location in Ostermalm is really good - very clean, safe and quiet (as seems to be the case throughout Stockholm). There is a good supermarket and off-licence nearby and lots of cafes and restaurants. You can walk to the waterfront in about 5 minutes and there is a plaza (Nyproplan) at the end of the street that the hotel is on (Nybrogatan) which has a hub for trams and buses. There is also a train station (Ostermalmstorg) about 3 minutes away from the hotel. This is one stop away from T-Centralen / Central Station and access to intercity trains and the Airport Express train.

Shirley Carnforth, United Kingdom - Business trip

Main disadvantages: Disappointed with the size of the room as we had booked a superior room but this was tiny.

Main advantages: Very unusual design with bookcases full of books everywhere, even in the bedrooms. Unfortunately as you would expect they were all in swedish so not much good to us but they still gave the hotel a distinctive and different look. Excellent choice of food for breakfast.
