Novi Sad is situated in the Hungarian plain at the foothills of Mt. Fruska, on the left bank of the Danube river.

Novi sad is the second largest city in Serbia. It offers several museums, galleries, sport facilities, malls, parks, a wonderful river shore and an impressive fortress.

The whole city centre was built in the style of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, making it an open-air museum. Apart from reflecting history, it is the centre of the town's night life. The city is famous for its street festivals, music performances and the EXIT festival, one of the Europe's biggest music festivals.

The Petrovaradin Fortress, as regards size and beauty, is the greatest jewel of Novi Sad. It is located on the right bank of the Danube river, right across from the city centre. It boasts a famous clock tower and the most amazing view of the city. During the past few years it has been the home of the EXIT festival.

Main advantages: The hotel is nice. The rooms are big, clean and nicely furnished. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The only negative point is that it's not very close to the city center, but one can find a lot of nice restaurants around the hotel.

Main advantages: Service was excellent. They provide cold and hot water all the time. It is quiet and peacefull, on a walking distance of the citycentre. And safety is guaranteed, with a safe garage!

Main disadvantages: The smell of smoke but that was all over Serbia not just the hotel. We are not used to public smoking now.

Main advantages: Friendly helpful staff. Clean rooms. Kitchenette basic but functional. Loads of hanging and cupboard space. Taxis very cheap and reliable as organised by hotel staff.
