Pine Cliffs is a luxury resort in a naturally beautiful location, 800 metres from the Atlantic beaches. It features a wellness centre, 2 swimming pools and a 9-hole golf course. By car:
- Coming from Faro Airport, follow the blue signs in the direction of
Portimão.
- Change onto the A22 motorway (Via do Infante) and continue until exit
Boliqueime.
- Continue until you reach the traffic lights in Boliqueime and, at the traffic
lights, turn left onto the EN 125.
- Continue straight ahead until you reach a turn off on your right signposted
Albufeira/Praias.
- Turn right and continue until the first roundabout.
- Take the 3rd exit and, at the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit.
- Continue straight ahead until you reach the next roundabout.
- Take the 2nd exit.
- You will find the entrance to the Pine Cliffs Resort on your right-hand side.

Main disadvantages: We were staying out of season so everything was shut or not running but the two restaurants that were still open were as expensive which we didn't think was all that fair although food was good and generous portion sizes. Also no wi-fi and only benches in the shade in the kids playground. Otherwise, fantastic all round family resort.

Main advantages: Had something there for everyone, golf, spa and plenty for kids plus great sandy beach and lots of pools

Main disadvantages: There is no complaint about this resort. This resort occupies a very large area with many roadways and intersections. If a map of the roadways within the property can be provided to guests upon booking, it would greatly assist them navigating around the place upon arrival.

Main advantages: Pine Cliffs Residence is a beautiful resort with many amenities, excellent restaurants and amazing scenic spots & beach. Great for families. Grounds are well groomed. A stay here could be a vacation in itself. If/when I return to this area, I would definitely consider staying here again.

Main disadvantages: It is pricey. A couple of the waiting staff (one or two of the men) at breakfast/dinner at the pine cliffs area were so insincere and over the top that it made for an uncomfortable dining experience.

Main advantages: The facilities are great and I got a proper holiday which can be difficult to come by with a 3 and 2 year old. The standard of the residences is very high and the cleaning staff keep the place sparkling!

Nicholas Gibraltar, Gibraltar - Business trip

Main disadvantages: It took us over an hour whilst in the complex, to find where to book in, the reception was closed, the ground staff gave us wrong directions but help came through the sales office who directed us correctly. During the low season you have to book into the Hotel reception which, had it have been made clear on our booking, would have saved some time and red-faces! - but the apartment more than made up for this error! We had a great time.

Main advantages: Luxury apartment was superbly equipped, hotel facilities were excellent, breakfast outstanding, extremely courteous and helpful staff, kids loved indoor pool and access to the beautiful beach was first class by way of a lift and private stairs

Main disadvantages: Our review of the complex is not really fair as so much was closed. The staff were excellent.

Main advantages: Unfortunately January was not the best month to visit Pine Cliffs. The weather was brilliant so that was a bonus. We were probably the only people staying there, so it was extremely empty. All but one of the restaurants were closed, the hotel was closed, we stayed in an apartment. It is a huge complex and in summer I am sure it is buzzing. It is in a beautiful setting, you would definately need a car.

Main advantages: The staff are fantastic and make you feel special. The location is beatuiful and the gardens are maintained very well. The accomodation is ideal for a family. This is our 3rd visit to Pine Cliffs and we will be back again.

Guest , Ireland - Rest with children

Main disadvantages: Childcare in porto pirata was excellent but expensive, especially if your children were under three years of age. Food was good but expensive comparatively speaking with nice restaurants outside the resort. We were there in quiet season so many of the restaurants in the hotel were not open. If you book a residence by prepared for a good walk to breakfast, it may be only in the quiet season but we had to walk nearly a kilometre (albeit along a pretty path) to the hotel for breakfast each morning. In high season there is a train that takes you but in low season be prepared for leg work - I lost about four pounds in nine days!

Main advantages: The resort was beautiful, lots of birds, flowers, grassy areas. The facilities were very good and they were well set up to cater for children. Porto Pirata, the indoor pool and the beach provided lots of entertainment for little ones and there was the option to pay to have your children cared for by a wonderful team of girls in Porto Pirata if you so wished (see negatives in terms of expense!) Our two bed residence was large, clean and extremely comfortable - the actuality exceeding the pictures shown on websites (not a frequent occurance in my experience). Staff were very friendly and helpful. There are lots of activities organised every day. Lovely Italian restaurant. Resort was so well tended - it was a wonderful holiday
