Main disadvantages: Very creaky beds and would rather have had duvets instead of blankets. The buffet breakfast was good but it would have been better perhaps to vary the selection (especially the eggs) as it became a bit monotonous after 4 days… Also, please change your system of going round with thermos jugs serving tea and coffee. When gasping for a hot beverage in the morning, it is very frustrating having to keep trying to attract the attention of the waitresses. There is no WiFi in the bedrooms but Reception will provide a cable for Internet connection free of charge.

Main advantages: Bathroom - lashings of hot water and good amenities. The staff were excellent and very obliging – especially Reception. Room service was good and we made use of it on a couple of occasions. Sundaybrunch was fantastic – the selection was great and total value for money. We know Lisbon well and the main reasons for this trip were Christmas shopping, pampering and gastronomic delights! We were fully satisfied on all three counts. The hotel is in a peaceful location and without traffic disturbance. We would definitely stay here again.

Joseph Windsor, Canada - Business trip

Main disadvantages: Last day of our stay the breakfast area was extremely crowded - had to stand in line about 20 minutes to get seating. Airconditioner didn't work the first night we were there, but the staff fixed this the following day.

Main advantages: Location is excellent, very close to the metro station. Staff were courteous, and helpful. Breakfast was a good value.

Inge , - Rest with friends

Main disadvantages: I liked the staff. Had a great dinner at the hotel. Unfortunately, I was unable to experience the wonderful breakfast which everyone talked about.

Main advantages: I liked the location and the beauty of the hotel. The staff was great. The room was comfortable but the bed was too firm. They need to put a pad or something on the board-hard mattress.

Anonymous , - Rest with children

Main disadvantages: When entering the hotel, there were 4 employees, two of them were free. None was friendly, there was no welcoming and our request made through booking.com was not read and followed (we asked for an extra child bed). After visiting the room, we requested again the extra child bed and it was provided promptly. We became no introduction to the city, even if there was obvious that we were not on a business trip with our 3 years old child. We had to ask for a map - again it was provided promptly. Same with the internet connection - we had to ask for a cable. We expect another kind of service from a five star hotel, they should understand your needs and offer you their services - not to wait for your requests. It may be a good hotel for business - but without a friendly and welcoming staff we could not really enjoy our stay even if the hotel is a nice one.

Main advantages: The room was clean, the breakfast was very good and the staff answered all questions and provided everything that we asked for.

Main advantages: All staff were friendly and helpful. When odering taxi through reception, taxi arrived promptly, no delay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Having a safe in the room was very important when leaving valuables. It was a great holiday. thank you Real Palacio, would love to stay again.
