Main disadvantages: The gardens are fantastic and it's a pleasure to sit outside one of the bars in the evening to enjoy the warm air and the music. However, this pleasure can sometimes be diminished by the large number of smokers. It would be great if a non-smoking area were set aside so that the patio areas can be fully appreciated.

Raul Issy-les-Moulineaux, France - Group tour

Main advantages: Fantastic hotel, close to the seaside, close to the city centre of Funchal a minutes away from Madeira mountains. Great location. Very comfortable, we had a very large room with small kitchen perfect for a famaly of three ir even four. Very clean. Several good restaurants. Despite being a large resort, you actually don't see that many people. Probably one of the best hotels in Madeira. Strongly recommended.

Igor , - Group tour

Main disadvantages: There is no shoeshine machine and WiFI in rooms has bad quality. Therr were small ants in the rooms and we were afraid to bring them back home. Choice of wines in restaurants was poor.

Main advantages: Very good 4 stars, better then what you get on average. Nice orchid garden in front of the open area. Good gym and choice of pools to suite any age of kids or adults. There were mostly elderly people with few families with kids. Speaking of billiard, there is only pool and no snooker, as written in some of their papers. Two tables for ping-pong are also available. No own exit to the sea, but the nearest place is just a short walk from the hotel. There are plenty of good restaurants around. The hotel had special arrangement with the army camp on a nearby hill, which provided excellent view on the New Year fireworks and organized buses to go there for tenants together with the cases of champagne.
