Main advantages: We had a spacious, clean comfortable room. The location is right in the center of things. The breakfast was impressive - everything one could want in am elegant setting. This should be a 4 star hotel.

Main disadvantages: Some extra charges for things such as if you need an iron they don't offer you it but offer an ironing service at an extra charge.

Main advantages: Very helpful staff with excellent recommendations for eating out. The hotel is beautifully decorated. Rooms are medium sized with everything you need including minibar and tv. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice for a buffet. Very nice relaxed bar. Great location.

Main advantages: This hotel was a pleasure to stay at. The foyer,bar and breakfast room are all decorated with character. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is very central in town,although a bit of a walk from the river, which is where most of the restaurants are.

Main disadvantages: The rooms are a bit of a let down after the elegance of the reception area being functional but clean.

Main advantages: The hotel has a great location on a pedestrianised street surrounded by classy shops and bars, although visiting Porto does entail a lot of steep hill walking wherever you are located. The main reception rooms were large and elegant with a beautiful dining room where we had breakfast. Breakfasts were good and staff friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a suite of rooms when I mentioned on booking it was our wedding anniversary and give a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine - a nice touch.

Main disadvantages: Our room was a good size but obviously part of a "cellar extension" , decoration nothing like the rest of the hotel. The corridor where our room was had a slight smell of drains.

Main advantages: Excellent location. Very pleasant staff who provided good service. Delightful decoration of main reception area, hallway and restaurant. Particularly enjoyable was a late night drink in the Windsor bar.

Main advantages: The room was spacious and comfortable with a fresh contemporary decor. The lobby, salon, bar and dining room were also wonderfully restored spaces. A very comfortable hotel in a great location right in the middle of the main shopping street. A very good value for money hotel that didn't charge for an extra bed for our child.
