Main advantages: Our stay at the hotel was one of thebest experiences of our travelling lives. The staff were incredibly friendly and the hotel ann utter dream. We are planning our return visit as I type!

Main disadvantages: There is an infrequent minibus service to the nearby beach and to Albufeira. The beach is a short walk away but if you have young children who often insist on being carried this can be a bit of a trek in the hot sun. In the evening the minibus doesn't travel to or from Albufeira and taxis can be in short supply so either come back to the hotel early or be prepared to join a long taxi queue!

Main advantages: We had a 2 bed 2 bath suite which was very modern, clean and comfortable. We payed a little extra for a pool & sea view which was well worth it. Most of the staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to help and make our stay comfortable. The pools were lovely. There was an unlimited supply of clean towels for the pool and beach.

Main disadvantages: For planning, during check-in when information about the hotel is passed to the guest that it is mentioned that the spa requires at the minimum a 24 hour advance reservation.

Main advantages: The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Main advantages: This was our third stay at CS Sao Rafael Suite Hotel and we enjoyed it as much as before. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We booked a deluxe family suite with sea view which was definitely worth paying a bit extra for as we had a wonderful view of the sea beyond. There is a great kids club that our 2 daughters loved to use which was especially good when the weather wasn't so great. The nearby Sao Rafael beach is one of the nicest beaches we have ever een on. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for a relaxing family holiday

Main disadvantages: It had not been made clear that the apartment did not cater for self catering as the electric stove had not been connected. The expectation was we would eat at the hotel restaurants. Although expensive for a large family. They were helpful in trying to resolve the issue by providing a microwave.

Main advantages: The hotel Sao Rafael is clean and contemporary in design. It provides a relaxing stay with all the necessary amenities.
