Main disadvantages: Like everything in Norway, relatively expensive. (It was the start of the university term, so I think there was a shortage of accomodation in Bergen).

Main advantages: Comfortable room. Free tea and coffee (available near reception). Good breakfast. Location suited us - near city centre.

Main disadvantages: Stamp-style bedside tables, dust on the bedside tables and lamps, basin separated from the beds by a glass, rather small bathroom. I paid during chack-in and a little more than the rate I've booked

Main advantages: Good location for visiting the city, close to the fish market and harbor. Hearty breakfast but nothing sweet

Main disadvantages: The organisation of the breakfast room was rather chaotic and there were not enough staff on duty to cope with demand at about 9 on a Sunday morning, The food itself was fine.

Main advantages: A quiet comfortable hotel, within an easy walk of the centre of Bergen.

Ossi Espoo, Finland - Rest with friends

Main disadvantages: No lockers or drawers in the room, just a few coathangers and hooks. Very difficult to unpack suitcases.

Main advantages: Good, quiet location, though 10min good stroll to Bryggen/Fishmarket/airport bus. Good breakfast, but a lot of queying for everything, mainly due many tourgroups staying in the hotel. Very ftiendly and efficient staff.

Main disadvantages: Our window had no sheer curtain and looked straight into the apartment across the lane which also had no sheer curtain. The lady had a good look. The cleaner did not come until about 3.30pm when we were back from our days sight seeing.

Main advantages: The room was a fair size with a very large ensuite and shower recess. Plenty of hanging space so we could unpack. Good breakfast buffet in the cafe downstairs. Free internet also downstairs. Window we could open for fresh air., And a bit of a mountain view, plus apartments. Handy to everything we required. Nice and quiet at night.

Main disadvantages: The wifi access code keeps changing every 12 hours so I had to get the new code every day and as and when the wifi doesn't work. Signal strength is also poor. Location is also far from city centre.

Main advantages: The sink is outside of the shower and wc so two persons can use the sink and shower concurrently.
