Main advantages: Relaxed, liked the afternoon pancakes which were a bonus in an expensive
city, service was very good. Breakfast had a good choice although
evening buffet was a little like breakfast again.

Main disadvantages: Bergen is a rainy town and there was no umbrella for lending in
reception. The standard rooms are located opposite of business
center, so if you wanted to have privacy , the heavy dark curtains
had to be used.
Main advantages: Food was excellent, the hotel was perfectly clean and great location.

Main advantages: The Central location, the warm and friendly staff and the food. The evening meal was an unexpected bonus as I think we were expecting something far less in quantity and quality. The afternoon pancakes were a wonderful indulgence. We appreciated the discount off our bill because of the inconvenience of being unable to use the wash hand basin.

Main disadvantages: Service was a little low, More than understaffed, it looked like they
were trying to save on staff, specifically in the buffet area. There was
no one to serve you coffee or greet you, and you were expected to take
your own dirty dishes to a small station in the dining area.
Main advantages: The decoration is new, it is very well located right next to Bryggen at
the bay, and the fish market area, plus the downtown area is a short
walk, The included dinner buffet was good for us (though not spectacular
in the food), it made the price more worth it, since a dinner at a
restaurant can add up. They do have a few parking spots, luckily I had
reserved with plenty of time, at an extra cost.

Main disadvantages: Only the high price, but this is fairly typical for Norway.
Main advantages: This hotel was very conveniently situated for the tourist sights of Bergen, and offered good quality accommodation in the harbour area. Staff were friendly and competent.

Main advantages: We liked the meal we had in the evening and for us it wasn't a light
meal but a proper meal. The location of this hotel was very good where
we could tour the city with no transport. The hotel itself was very nice
and very welcoming. The staff were all friendly.

Main disadvantages: The bathroom doors were transparent and overlooked the main bedroom. This was very unsuitable as I was sharing a room with a friend and we had to constantly "arrange" ourselves to look other way and put on TV/ipod when other one was using bathroom
Main advantages: Lots of free food and meals - ontop of a good beakfast buffet, there was a free evening buffet (and late night sandwich for guests who arrive after the evening buffet) and free make-youself pancakes at 3pm each day. These touches were much appreciated, especially as Norway is otherwise so expensive
