Built in 1883, the original architecture and furnishings make this hotel distinctive. As it is only a short walk away from the city centre this hotel is placed among historical buildings and attractions.
The hotel boasts a variety of famous and artisitic guests including Queen Victoria, The Beatles and the Empress Sissi who has a room named after her. Rembrandt is said to have painted the work 'Night Watch' on the third floor of the hotel.

By Train:
There are direct trains from the Airport to Amsterdam Central Station. The journey takes around 15 minutes. Amsterdam Central Station is only 2 km from the hotel and can be reached in 15 minutes on foot.
By Public Transport:
Accessibility to the hotel by public transport is excellent. Only 2 minutes away from the hotel there are several trams stops (Muntplein stop).
The hotel can even be reached by boat since it has its own jetty.
By Car (from the airport):
- Take the A4 and head toward Utrecht/Haarlem/Amsterdam.
- Turn on to the E22/A10, exiting at Overtoomse Veld/Oud-West.
- Turn right into Stadhouderskade, then left into Ferdinand Bolstraat.
- Bear right at Weteringlan, then bear right again towards Nieuwe Vijzelstraat.
- Turn right at Amstel, then left into Kloveniersburgwal.
- Turn left into Staalstraat, then left again into Kloveniersburgwal
