NH Caransa is situated on Rembrandt Square, nearby Dam Square and The Flower Market. The tram stop opposite Caransa offers easy access to sights and the RAI conference centre. The NH Caransa has a shuttle service between the hotel and Schiphol Airport at an additional charge. Amsterdam Central Train Station is 10 minutes away by tram. The hotel rooms have coffee and tea facilities and a seating area. Each morning breakfast is served in the breakfast room. Main disadvantages: The square can be a little noisy at night due to trams and bars but this was not a problem for us, that is was you expect in the heart of city life.

Main advantages: Friendly staff. Great location. We requested a room with a view of the city. We were allocated room 601 which was excellent. It is on the top floor on the corner. Great view of the city and the main square below. The tram stop is right outside the hotel entrance and both the number 9 and 14 are frequent and take you to Dam Square, Central Station. The trams are a great way to travel around the city and you can buy tickets at Central Station. It costs 15.50 euro per person for 3 days. The square at the hotel is very lively with a great atmosphere. Food and drink is a little more expensive than other areas but we ate there several times. You can walk from the hotel to Dam Sqaure in 10 minutes with the tram taking less than 5. We ate one night at the floating Chinese restaurant near to Central Station. Wow, it was fantastic so please try. We love Amsterdam.

Main disadvantages: Unfortunately the room was always full of dust on every surface! The bathroom is small and without fan or windows.

Main advantages: The hotel staff is really nice and friendly! Nh Caransa is in a very central location in one of the four most important and famous squares of Amsterdam, well connected by tram and on foot in every direction.

Main disadvantages: It was fine little pricey but about average or cheaper than the rest in that category.

Main advantages: Served it's purpose liked the nice big windows even though it looked out to a gym and a chinese massage place.

Main disadvantages: window not opened (small chink only), no conditioner in the room, the towels wasn't change everyday.

Main advantages: Location, staff on reception, large room and bathroom, refregerator in the room, good view.
