Main disadvantages: A Little Bit too expensive, but it was my choice to book it despite of the price;) Parking 20 euro per night is too expensive.

Main advantages: Friendly staff, Nice clean rooms It's not that far to the station, approx. 5 min. I don't know why some people wrhite it is like 10 or 15 min walk. It takes 15 min to getto central station, not 25 min as some people whrite;)))

Ritva Vantaa, Finland - Individual tour

Main advantages: The location near by the RAI exhibition centre was extremely good: 20 min by walk or 5 min walk + 5 min by tram (or by taxi). Also the connection to the Airport and to the City centre by public transport was good. Nice hotel, very good breakfast, cosy rooms, good service. Only the breakfast was invoiced first in double, probably a human mistake. I can warmly recommend this hotel to business purposes and will choose it again for my future trips to Amsterdam - even if the surroundings were not that attractive.

Main disadvantages: The showers were not easy to use. It is virtually impossible to take a shower and not get water all over the floor. Also the room smelled a little like moth balls. But these two things would not keep me from booking again.

Main advantages: We were very pleased with the service and hospitality of the staff. It was also a very good price for the overall experience. The breakfast was also very nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

Main disadvantages: They could set up a shuttle service but it wouldn't change a thing to them because they were fully booked anyway(it would have changed only to taxi drivers business!).

Main advantages: Close to rai exhibition center,with good weather one can also walk there(if no luggages)or go to closer Metro but since we were 3 persons it was convenient to take the taxi(Metro ticket € 2,60 flat and taxi to rai € 8/10). Spacious,clean and comfortable rooms.Good Restaurant.Definitely a good deal in terms of price for a real 4 star considering also Fair period. If some tourism with tram # 25(5 mins.walk) you get straight to Dam Square in 15 mins.

Ragsana Vienna, Austria - Rest with friends

Main advantages: Excellen,modern hotel.The rooms are comfortable and clean, and you don't hear any noise from other rooms. The staff were s friendly and helpful. We liked location of the hotel. The Hotel is a very pleasant walk into Amsterdam Central, but is also very close to metro. I would definitely stay at another Mercure after this initial visit!

Main advantages: For us it was a good alternative (and same price) to staying in centre of Amsterdam in a one-star hotel where standards can vary downwards quite a bit. The Hotel is well connected to city centre with a metro stop and tram stop only a few minutes walk away (metro is closer and faster though). Quiet area, and rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Mac Nottingham, United Kingdom - Rest with children

Main disadvantages: Didn't like the idea of going around the back of the Hotel when it's dark especially if travelling on your own.

Main advantages: The Hotel is a very pleasant walk into Amsterdam Central, but is also very close to excellent city transport if the weather is inclement. Even when the reception was extremely busy the staff were very efficient at dealing with everybody. All in all a great break and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Main disadvantages: Traveling to city only with a taxi, is it far to Metro, and we can not find it.

Main advantages: We can not find Metro Station, but taxi to centrum of city was about 15 EUR. Room was clean, in 17 et., so we can see a big piece of city. Breakfast was great, all you can think about.

Main disadvantages: The area is a business district so, apart from being on the river, it lacks real Amsterdam character.

Main advantages: The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful even though the hotel was hectic for Easter weekend. The hotel was a short walk to the metro station - seven stops to central station - so its location is more central than it appears on the map. The room was nicely decorated for a chain hotel.
