Main disadvantages: The only negative input is that you had to pay 12 euros for 24 hrs of internet service or 6 euros for 1 hour. There was no place in the hotel that offered free internet. Also the breakfast of 29 euros is expensive considering breakfast is usually the cheapest meal of the day.

Main advantages: The staff is wonderful. They make you feel welcome right away and do a great job giving you information about the hotel, city, and places to visit, etc. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. That was probably the best bed I've ever slept in. The hotel is very quiet and is in a great location to get to the trams, resturants, etc.

Main advantages: We liked the location it was quieter than the hotels closer to the town centre. The staff were all very pleasant and efficient and all our requirements were met. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. A very pleasant stay. we would recommend this hotel highly.

Main disadvantages: Expensive. Couldn't dine at the hotel restaurants.

Main advantages: Really liked your hotel but it is a bit expensive. I understand the rates were high as you had a convention on at the weekend. I would be very interested to hear about special breaks and discounts for the future. We were disappointed that we could not get a reservation at any of the hotel restaurants.

Matthew Menton, France - Business trip

Main disadvantages: Superior room has an in-room "window" into the bathroom. Although this helps make the room look bigger, the bathroom door is also glass, and so there is no sound isolation between the bathroom and bedroom. Housekeeping needs to maintain the rainshower heads better (clogged with scale until I rubbed it). Standard rooms dave a design dating back to (I guess) the 1980s. Although well maintained, they are showing their age. As mentioned in other reviews, the price and extent of extras is very high if you are not used to rates in 5 star hotels.

Main advantages: Fantastic rate for a 3 day stay in a 5 star hotel, available only, I suspect, for last minute bookings when the hotel is fairly empty. The Superior rooms are nicely updated and designed. If you are into gastronomic food, they have a 1-star Michelin japanese restaurant (excellent - count on paying about 110€ for a multi-course menu with inexpensive wine) and a 2-star French restaurant on the top floor (I didn't try it). Two other restaurants, with the cheaper brasserie costing around 65€ per head with wine. Plenty of alternative restaurants available within 5 mins walk of the hotel. Bedding was some of the most comfortable I have had in hotels.Service generally very good.

Main disadvantages: A bit pricey but not exorbitant. The access to public transport to the center of Amsterdam was a bit lacking.

Main advantages: Very high quality experience. The staff were most attentive; the room very comfortable, stylish, and clean; and the restaurant (Sazanka) was world class. I enjoyed my too brief stay very much.
