Hotel Atlanta is set on the edge of Rembrandt Square, only a 3-minute walk away from the Flower Market. The painter Piet Mondriaan lived and painted in this hotel between 1904 and 1907. Examples of Mondriaan's paintings can be seen on the walls throughout the hotel. There are rooms with shared bathroom facilities in the hallway and more luxurious rooms with a private bathroom. Main disadvantages: rooms a bit small, but what more do you need if youve there to just sleep in it

Main advantages: perfect location, you never need to leave rembrandt sq, esp at christmas, its perfect, we had a front room so we had a full view of the massive christmas market, the ladies on reception was brilliant

Main advantages: I enjoyed very much staying in hotel atlanta.The room was very nice and clean,and the location of the hotel perfect.It is very close to the clubs and bars of Amsterdam,and also close to all main sites of the city!Maybe,Rembrandtplein is a little noisy but I didn't mind at all about that!

Main disadvantages: Bath jacuzzi did not work and shower head was leaking. Had to use all the provided towels just to keep the floor dry

Main advantages: Twin room with bath, great view of the square. Short walk to nightclubs and bars. Travelling from the heart of the city to the hotel is very easy by taking the tram and the walk is short, leading through dam street which contains all the best shops

Emer Castlebar, Ireland - Individual tour

Main disadvantages: I didn't like how warm the rooms were at night. We had a fan in our room but it was still very warm.

Main advantages: I liked the location best. I like that our room was on the first floor at the back so it wasn't noisy at all. Rembrandt square is the perfect place to stay in Amsterdam.

Gerald Auckland, New Zealand - Rest with children

Main disadvantages: This has never happened before but my wife had a reaction when she sat on her bed (skin contact), a small area her my legs broke out in a itchy rash - this happened just the once shortly after arrival, I was absolutely fine. After a bath the itching went away, and she had no problem after her nap or that night. I would imagine she has not been in contact with a chemical or something they use to clean the bedding and is slightly sensitive to it. Please note this was not a hygiene issue, everything was fresh, clean and tidy...could have happened anywhere.

Main advantages: Hotel Atlanta's Location is the key, flexiblity staying in the heart of the city is a bonus as we planned nothing and had 26 hours in Amsterdam. Value for money was to book a hotel where we could store luggage at 6am, check in at 11am and nap when we were ready whilst being in walking distance of enough things to keep us busy :) Other option was a cheaper, more modern hotel which took time and $$ to travel to and from which would have been frustration and time consuming.Because we arrived at 6am the ability start sightseeing then "pop back for an hours nap later" meant we were out until midnight and didn't feel drained, with 30hours flight/transit time the next day this was so important. *Staff are helpful*Room 19's at the end of a hall (Quiet) had character & with windows closed not too noisy considering there are bars all around! *Linen and towels provided were clean *Room had decent storage and a really neat feel about it * Hotel was secure as you had to buzz to get in *Mini bar and the ability to store small items in the fridge. Would return again, happy with our stay.. Hopefully next time we have time to party!! Thanks Hotel Atlanta

Main disadvantages: It's location did provide for lively noise at night. The hotel staff did change our room when the shower did not work correctly.

Main advantages: The staff was very helpful and the location was convenient for our daily trips to places of interest. It is on the Rembrandt Square which is a lively party location.
