Main advantages: i loved the location: it was very central, especially near the train station for ease of access, yet you felt that you were in the centre of things. the christmas lights in amsterdam were amazing and were visible from the hotel. the staff were lovely and very co-operative. we had a wonderful corner room and it was a good size,warm, comfortable, and clean.

Main advantages: Convenient location to train station. I was able to check in early after my long flight. Good food in the dining room so that although I had planned to eat elsewhere one night stayed in because it was not only convenient but good. The butter was the best I have ever tasted. I liked the full pot of coffee to myself at breakfast and although I didn't want any more did appreciate being asked if I did.

Main advantages: The hotel staff! Excellent - competent, friendly, professional. Went to a lot of trouble to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Thanks to all, and to Aard in particular. We had two rooms (1 superior, 1 standard) facing the street, with tiny balcony/french doors. Loved the view. Beds were very comfortable, no street noises. Clean, well-equipped bathrooms. Dinner at the De Roode Leeuw restaurant is a must - traditional Dutch cuisine; excellent food, service! Loved our stay!

Main advantages: good hotel very close to the shopping area, train staion, all needed transportation. the hotel is very clean, confortabel but its rate is relatively high. we enjoyed staying in this hotel.

Main disadvantages: Even though I requested a smoking room, the smell was very strong when we walked into the room as if someone had just smoked in it! Also I found a cigarette butt under the desk..

Main advantages: Location was fantastic!

Main disadvantages: The only complaint is the shower arrangement that allows the entire bathroom floor to get wet while using the shower.

Main advantages: The location is perfect for sightseeing, shopping, and restaurants. The hotel staff were very helpful and professional. I would stay at this hotel again.
