| Main disadvantages: The reception area is pretty small and it can get easily crowed
in the bar. |
| Main advantages: Good breakfast and cleverly themed designed rooms! The location is very
much in the center which makes it easy to get round but it can get noise
in the night. |

| Main disadvantages: The shared bathroom was not clean, and the shower (shared) was quite dirty as well; besides, the water was not very hot. The single room is very small indeed. |

| Main disadvantages: We had 2 apartments accross the road from the hotel reception/bar. The
stairs were a little of the steep side and the steps were actually
quite small. |
| Main advantages: We liked the rooms - we had 2 rooms the tropical room and the canal view
room - both were amazing for their own decorative reasons. We did not
stay for breakfast purley because we was not up early. However this
hotel was ace and defincatly would stay here again. |

| Main disadvantages: Not really a complaint - just would note to other travellers that the hotel is not typically staffed from 1am until approx 8am, but we did not find this to be a problem. Also, breakfast is served from 9am to noon each day so if you have an early flight plan accordingly. |
| Main advantages: The hotel is very centrally located in centrum area and a short walk to the red light district. The facilties are very secure and the check-in process in the adjacent bar was a breeze. We departed prior to breakfast hours, but the staff did offer to make us something quickly. This is a great hotel if you are seeking nightlife, bar atmosphere, but I wouldn't recommend if you are looking for a quiet location. |

| Main disadvantages: The church bells were a bit of a pain but once the window was shut it
was hardly noticeable. |
| Main advantages: I thought everything about the hotel was great, it's location was
excellent and the staff were extremely friendly and were willing to help
with any queries that arose. |

| Main advantages: We stayed in the fluo room, didn't expect too much because of the price.
Upon arriving in the room it was very clean, beds were comfy, nice
themed room, comfy chairs. Was very impressed with the room and the guys
down in the bar were friendly and helpful. Stayed in Amsterdam a few
times before and this is the best for location, situated on the border
of red light district/ dam square it's perfect to get around. |

| Main advantages: the location is smack bang in the middle of all there is to do in amsterdam, bar downstair perfect for a discouted drink and a cheaky smoke, rooms have a theme so juct arent the typical 4 white walls,m shared bathrrom and toilet were spotless |

| Main disadvantages: The only issue I had was checking-in; the reception is in the coffee shop next door and at the time I arrived (early evening) it was busy and it was unpleasant after travelling to be in there for 15 mins in heavy smoke from cannabis. I think it was just unfortunately the time of the day. |
| Main advantages: Excellent value for money and the room was bigger than I was expecting. It is only 2* and that is reflected in the standard of the accommodation; but taking that into account - having a well stocked 'mini-bar' and a very comfy armchair were a bonus. |

| Main disadvantages: The street goes until 2am in summer which can be a bit noisy if trying
to sleep in the front room but in reality the street pumping is really
a positive. |
| Main advantages: The best thing about the Greenhouse Effect was the atmosphere and
location. I stayed in a self contained off site apartment which was
directly accross the road from the bar/coffee shop so not too far to
walk for the free breakfast and to indulge in the discounted smoke and
drinks. I will be recommending to my friends and will stay there again
when I next return to Amsterdam. |
