Alp Hotel is a small and charming hotel right in the Amsterdam city centre, 600 metres from the Jordaan neighbourhood. The hotel includes free Wi-Fi and a garden with a terrace. The rooms are bright and have en suite bathrooms. Rooms with a balcony and/or spa bath are available as well. A breakfast buffet is served in the morning with many choices for an energetic start of the day. You can benefit 24 hours a day from free hot drinks and a fruit bar. Main disadvantages: As previous reviews have said it was quite noisy but it's in the heart of Amsterdam!! Thats what we expect!! Loved waking up in the morning and hearing the bells of the trams and bikes!!

Main advantages: Room was gorgeous! Staff were lovely. Free drink at check in was nice touch. Beds were very comfy. So much so we slept in for breakfast all 3 morning!! We will definitely choose this hotel if we go back to Amsterdam.

Main disadvantages: The Hotel has a tram stop directly outside which is very noisy probably why ear plugs were provided.So suggest asking for a quieter room facing the garden area.

Main advantages: The staff were excellent they gave us a great welcome and were very helpful.

Main disadvantages: The only big disadvantage is the very step stairs which is in my opinion uncomfortable when step up to the room & step down which make you so careful to avoid the falling. If there is an elevator the hotel will be very good

Main advantages: Very nice & very friendly staff specialy Florinza. Room is clean and putting apple & chocklate every day is really nice touch. Breakfast is good even if the area is small and not that big. Location is far from the centeral station but is 2 miinutes only from the tram stop

Main disadvantages: There was an offensive smell in the bathroom which seemed to be coming from the sewage. Although the bathroom was very clean, the odor was unpleasant.

Main advantages: The room was relatively spacious. We wanted a double room but due to an event in the city all hotels were booked and this was the only available room in that category. Nonetheless, the room was very clean, the staff very friendly, the breakfast modest but good value. They even welcomed the guests with apples and chocolates, and free bottled water.

Main advantages: Very friendly staff, willing to be of assistace at what ever time of the day or night. Happily running up and down several flights of steps to give assistance. Very secure, after the doors were locked at night, there was always a night porter ready to open the door at what ever time, night or day. Staff willing to help with advaicing where to go in town. Welcome drink on the house when we first arrived. Everytime the room was cleaned we found on our return from town chocolates and apples waiting for us on the beds. Very welcoming when going to breakfast or returning from town.

Main advantages: The two words that best describe this hotel are 'personal touch'. The staff did everything possible to make us feel at home away from home. As we arrived, the receptionist provided us with maps of Amsterdam and information on tours and attractions in the city. The room was spotless and every day when we got back to the hotel from a day in the city, we found two apples and a chocolate bar on the bed. The breakfast was very generous and fresh. There’s a tram stop right across the street and you can get to Dam Square and all other tourist attractions in 5 minutes. We strongly recommend this hotel and would definitely return on our next trip to Amsterdam.

Main disadvantages: Very steep stairs. Rooms on street side are quite noisy. No air- conditioning which would have helped during our stay over summer.

Main advantages: Very helpful staff, very steep stairs (we were on the 3rd floor and no lift) and they carried our luggage to our room. They also brought it back down on check-out. Plentiful breakfast. Close to tram lines and the city center.

Main advantages: Staff very friendly and helpful.rooms were very clean,rooms were serviced daily with apples or chocolates left on pillows which I thought was very nice and considerate. Staff also offered drink when we arrived which was very much apprecieted. We had a really nice stay at the alp hotel and will certainly be back.

Main disadvantages: Our room was noisy, but we faced the street. Any hotel with a room in this area would have been noisy.

Main advantages: Free coffee and tea any time. Great breakfast options available every morning 7-10am. VERY friendly staff. Went to a lot of effort to answer questions, help us navigate, and to assist our touring choices.

Main disadvantages: It is a little further from city centre than I thought but it is just one tram all the way into the city so it still is a great location.

Main advantages: The staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave us drinks when we came in along with a map of the city. After an explanation of the map he gave us a paper with all the restaurants they recommend. We tried one and it was amazing! Thanks!
