Main disadvantages: Prior to booking into the Plaza Regency I visited a friend who was staying in the Plaza and was impressed with his room. Unfortunately the room I was allocated in the Regency part of the hotel did not meet up to my expectations and was in need of refurbishment, that being said the room was clean. I was only staying in the hotel for a weekend or I would have asked to be moved to another room.
Main advantages: The location of the Plaza Regency is ideal for walking into both St Julians and Sliema. It is also on the main bus route which serves the Gozo Ferry and Valletta. The view from the dining room is excellent especially in the evening.

Main advantages: After reading various reviews we were a little anxious about the hotel but were very pleasantly suprised. Rooms were great with balcony and sea view (although we did pay a bit extra for superior upgrade) The staff were very friendly and helpfull and after previous comments I think the hotel had listened as there were drinks promotions in the bar. Indoor pool was lovely and warm which was just right on a windy Malta day. One thing to be aware of is as the hotel is right in the centre of the bay a walk to sliema and st julians is a good 20 mins.

Main disadvantages: Internet was so expensive, especially since it's free across the street.
The airport pick up was also more expensive than the standard airport
rate. They did not return my emails. And finally, the sheets were of
poor quality.
Main advantages: The price and location were right. And the rooftop pool was special.
Breakfast in the penthouse restaurant was also nice.

Main advantages: Booked this holiday last minute and couldn't have chosen better for the
price. The service was excellent I had to add extra days and emailed
hotel who made sure we did not have to change rooms. Room service was
excellent we had avery cheerful room attendant who was very thorough
.(Thank you Lily) the reception and restaurant staff were also very good
. I will be booking again next April. Nothing negative at this hotel.
Food was also reasonable

Main disadvantages: The Indoor pool with the Jacuzzi was closed which was disappointing, and
the Lifts could be updated
Main advantages: The room was comfortable, refurbished and well designed. We had a
great Buffet breakfast and the pool was lovely. It has a good
location. The air-conditioning, plasma tv, refrigerator and tea
facilities made the room all the more welcoming. Will stay there again
definatly worth the money!

Main advantages: The hotel is very close to the sea. You can reach it easily from the airport using bus X2, bus stop "Exiles". Direct buses to Valetta, Bugibba, Cirkewwa and Mdina. Our room was with kitchen, very comfortable and clean. We had all kitchenware, kettle, toaster. We will stay in this hotel next time

Main disadvantages: Breakfast poor and monotonous. Desk called a taxi for me which did not
operate like a normal taxi...no taxi sign on roof, no meter, driver
charged me 20% too much and then had no change!! I had to borrow 2 euro
from a fellow wedding guest who I did not know. Embarrassing. Hotel gave
me use of a room, after booking out, and assigned me a dreadful little
room with no window!
Main advantages: Location but I know Malta well. Cara restaurant very good for snacks.

Main disadvantages: My room N322 was very very tiny, there was almost no window.... just a half of it. I didn't expect it to be like this, I've never had such an experience. I felt a bit compressed. Other than that there was very great humidity in the room, all my clothes were nearly wet. It's a pity that I couldn't see the photo of the room, I would have chosen the other room. While booking the room, anyone must have a chance to know the number and see a photo of it, at least a similar photo. I didn't have such a possibility. As far as I remember the number of the room had to be 412.... There was no balcony either.
Main advantages: The location is wonderful, a few metres from the Cathedral, you can reach any place by bus N11, 12, 13, as the bus stop is close to the Hotel, the staff is very helpful, the meals were good - English breakfast. There's a nice swimming pool on the roof of the hotel, so you can relax there if you are tired of going to the beach.

Main advantages: The superior room with sea views was great for the extra bit of money. The room and bathroom was huge. And the full breakfast included made the whole deal very reasonable (but then Malta is reasonable compared to northern Eurozone countries). It's not an extremely luxurious hotel, but very comfortable and in a great location.
