Main advantages: Le meridien was a great hotel, super friendly and efficient staff,
although the first couple of times we went to the restaurant we had to
wait quite a while to be served drinks. Probably the only thing I could
fault the room on was the bed, it was very hard and quite uncomfortable.
Both myself and my partner ended up with sore necks and backs from the
bed. Other than that a very good hotel in an excellent location

Main disadvantages: There are 4 lifts in the hotel but they are infuriatingly slow.
It being our third stay at the hotel, the bar and pool menu has not changed.
They have a fabulous spa with lots of holistic/detox type treatments but there is no menu to reflect this. You can eat in the spa area but the menu is the same - this is a downside, as many are into healthier options.
They have wifi but I was rather disgruntled as my iphone wouldn't connect to it - a problem at the hotel I believe and with all Apple).
Either side of the hotel there are apartments that are on the shabby side and let the hotel down terribly. St Julians is supposed to be Malta's 5 star resort - this isn't too bad when you're outside as there are other historical buildings in the area and a beautiful church.
Main advantages: Our third time at this hotel. We love it's position on Balluta Bay (and providing you get a seaview room, which we do) it's great. the hotel facilites are great. All areas clean/tiday - newspapers to read in the lobby area. Being one of the main thoroughfares, there's alot of traffic going and although this hasn't bothered us, it might if you're looking for peace and serenity. St Julians is very busy with traffic and people. Lots out running/walking for fitness too. Some great restaurants and cafes around - U Bistrot restaurant just outside hotel and Mint (coffee/snacks/light lunches) which is on the way to Sliema on bus route (they make all their own food and specialise in Gluten Free - great if you're coeliac. Rooms always well tended to and staff in general are pleasant and courteous.

Charis Thessaloníki, Greece - Group tour
Main disadvantages: The use of the mini bar in the room is compulsory. If you want to have
it emptied you must pay 5euros/day!. I asked them to take the mini bar
away and replace it with a mini fridge but they denied. It is the only
5* hotel I have visited that has this attidude!. The room was supposed
to have sea view but it only plartial sea-view.
Main advantages: The spacious room , the free car parking, the internal swimming pool.

Main disadvantages: the pool on the roof is a bit small, but to be honest it was never packed with people..
Main advantages: We really did enjoyed our stay at Le Meridien so much, as if your leave the hotel your at a fantastic promenade you can have a nice walk to Sliema or St. Julians, the view from the sea side rooms are amazing. Staff are soo friendly and helpfull. We had a EXCELLENT stay!!

Main disadvantages: Awful music in the lifts.
Main advantages: Superb views from the room, very clean with attentive staff. We would
return, it was also very handy having the use of a car park. The Hotel
once found was handily placed for travelling all over the island., Godd
facilities locally for eating and would highly recomend "meet" the
Argentinian steak house.

Main disadvantages: Generally overpriced, especially the breakfast and drinks in the pool.
No wi fi in the rooms. Mini bar expensive and it costs 5 euros per day
to have it empty! The coffee machine had not been cleaned. The outdoor
pool could be larger.
Main advantages: Absolutely wonderful hotel! Fantastic sea view. Staff very helpful and
kind. Outdoor pool great. Indoor pool with sauna just perfect. Ideally
situated with plenty of resturants nearby and bus stop just 2 minutes
away.Saturday night bbq buffet was tasteful. Our deluxe room was very
large and clean. Amusing sounds in the elevators. Ice machines on each
floor. Easy check in and out.

Main disadvantages: Staff were very slow to deal with qureies. Speed of service was appalling. The hotel is also into ripping people off for all ancillary services- charging €5 for 30 minutes of internet access and €5 for a Coke. I expect to pay a premium but not double what anyone else charges and internet access in a hotel should be a basic facility.

Linda Sliema, Malta - Rest with children
Main disadvantages: The bed could have been a bit softer... Or at least have a mattress on
top of it which would make a big difference.
Main advantages: Hard to pinpoint something that I liked the best, as everything was
great. The service was very good and when we had a question or request
for something we were met with a smile.
