Main disadvantages: The ATM did not work - was empty probably because of the weekend. But the staffs helped to drive us (using our car) to get the money in the downtown.
Main advantages: Great location. You don't have to wake up early for Petra.
The staffs are friendly and willing to help.
In general, this is a very good choice for the Petra trip.

Main disadvantages: The noise from the open ceiling cafe bothered us a bit.
Main advantages: This hotel is the ideal location to the Petra. Breakfast was very nice. Hotel staff offered us room upgrade, so we stayed a junior suit room. The room was clean and wide. Amenities were the products of dead sea mineral, that is great.

decoration, comfortable, and with an outstanding location just in the
entrance of ruins of Petra (which is very recomendable to depend on

Main advantages: This hotel is brilliantly located, it could hardly get any closer to the
entrance to Petra. It is also a magnificent hotel inside. Especially the
bar, the carved ceiling and wall panel is exceptionally beautiful. The
lobby lounge is also very lovely. Overall, a very nice place to base a
trip to Petra from.

Main advantages: Great location .We had a sea facing room which was fascinating. The
staff were excellent .Very courteous and service was always prompt and
with a smile. Thw watersports facilities were very good and we had a
great time. Certainly would recommend this.

Main disadvantages: Superior rooms were a bit plain, with no pictures or decorative details.
Main advantages: The location of the Moevenpick, just outside Petra main gate, can't be beat. It's on the main restaurant row. The rooms are updated and basic with all the amenities. The buffet breakfast is superb and the restaurant service very good. Absolutely a perfect choice, and I would stay there again.

Main disadvantages: I would like there to be more nonsmoking areas; for those of us from the
us, having to walk through smoke filled lobbies and other common areas
is a shock.
Main advantages: Location was fabulous; facilities great; staff professional and nice;

Main disadvantages: Expensive when compared to other Movenpick hotels in Jordan. 100JD difference for same room type (Superior). Also, checkout time in other Movenpick hotels can be arranged for 3pm at no extra cost, which is not the case at Petra. Was told "same hotel but different policy".
Main advantages: Ornately designed hotel with friendly staff. Excellent proximity to Petra site. Buffet breakfast keep you going until beyond lunch-time! Bright and comfortable rooms.
