Main disadvantages: Rooms were a bit dingy and dark.

Main advantages: Although the room was a bit tight, we understood since there are not many places that can accomodate a family of 5. The rooms were old, but fairly clean. We stayed in the Winter and had no problem with the heat or with the noise from the local bars (as other reviewers have wrote). The owner was there to receive us and, although she does not live at the hotel, she gave us her cell and let us know she could be there if needed. The location is excellent, literally right around the corner from the Duomo. We walked everywhere. If you are a large family on a budget and don't mind a tight fit, this is a good choice.

Main disadvantages: No - everything worked and the availability of assistance was close at hand. Very polite and helpful.

Main advantages: Close by to the beautiful cathedral of Sante Croce. 10 minute walk to the centre of the City Piazza Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, The Duomo passing the Bargello. Great place to get to know Florence. A good location for market shopping.

Main disadvantages: The A/C did not work in one of the rooms; wasw told that parking was 25 euro (it was actually more- based one the size of your car).

Main advantages: I rented a two bedroom apt, however when we checked in, it wasw only one bedroom. We did get a two bedroom after being told that it was an 'upgrade'.
