Main disadvantages: When you arrrive sometimes it's a little bit difficult to talk to the car driver to pick you up because he/she doesn't answer.
Main advantages: It's really cosy. The motel is really near the airport but due to the fact that not many planes arrive and land there, you don't notice them.

Main disadvantages: The exterior of the motel does look a bit like an out of town garden centre, it isn't that pretty! But that's minor really.
Main advantages: We stayed for one night in one of Motel Alex's separate wooden cabins and we thought it was great! Well equipped and comfortable. We were on our way to the airport the next day so it was also a great location.

Main advantages: We stayed in a cabin for 1 night before leaving Iceland. It was very clean and well equipped. The staff were brilliant and very very helpful. Iceland is a little more expensive than other countries but Motel Alex was very good value for money and very convienient for Keflavik airport. My experience of Motel Alex was far better than I was expecting based on reviews on the website.

Main advantages: We stayed in one of their huts and they were comfy, nice and modern. The close proximity to the airport is great as we arrived late night and it is just 5 minutes away. There is free airport pick up and transfer to the airport which is a very appreciated service. Thank you!! Breakfast was ok; not more but also not less than what you can expect from budget accommodation. We enjoyed our one night stay at Motel Alex before venturing off to discover the rest of this beautiful island Iceland.:-)

Main disadvantages: We stayed in private cabin. Beds llike most in Iceland - not as comfortable as home. Everything is European sized and smaller. Washbasin sized like no bigger than a cereal bowl. Bathroom with shower, toilet and sink fits into a space about 4'x4'. Tiny but functional.
Main advantages: Super convenient when arriving late. Just minutes from airport. Nice self-serve breakfast spread.

Main disadvantages: Us have lodged in the basic case though at booking we agreed on a summer small house. There are no numbers for smokers.
Main advantages: We stopped in hotel for 2 nights. The owner of hotel very well knows requirements of tourists - in it there is everything that is necessary for different groups of visitors. Possibility of preparation of meal, number with private conveniences, the Internet, an early breakfast (4:30 - 9:00), the information on a situation at the airport, an exchange of equipment, geothermal hot tub, cards of Iceland. Very good arrangement - a city and the airport in the pedestrian availability. A parity the price-quality the excellent!
