Situated on the banks of the Danube river on the Buda side of the Arpad Bridge, facing Margaret Island, the Ramada Plaza Budapest offers easy access to the city centre and a great spa area. Guests can access the spa area free of charge. It includes a regular indoor pool and a thermal pool. A hot tub, a sauna and a steam bath are also on site. Guests can get active in the fitness room. Public transport: from metro line 2 (red) station "Batthyany ter" take the Suburb train (HEV) to "Arpad hid" (4 stops), 10 min. Train stop is almost in front of the hotels. Trains are running every 10-15 min.

Or take tram No. 1 from "Arpad hid" metro station (line 3 - blue)to "Szentlelek ter" (2 stops)

Main disadvantages: Wellness is open only until 22 pm. The hotel has a parking place , but parking is charged eur 14 per night. Breakfast was not included in the price .

Main advantages: The stay was very enjoyable. The rooms are very comfortable. The hotel has rooms for smokers and non-smokers. In the room was electric kettle with tea and coffee which is very refreshing after travel. The bathrobes for wellness are in the room and not charged separately.

Main disadvantages: The fact that they preauthorized my credit card for 40.000 huf It is a big amount just for insurance...

Main advantages: It offered a lot of luxuries for the price we paid. The location was a bit far . from city centre but in a good neighbourhood with excellent transportation. If I ever visit Budapest again I will defenetaly stay again in Ramada Plaza.

Monir Kristianstad, Sweden - Individual tour

Main disadvantages: The city shulle service is quite good and beneficial, but they have only 3 departures and returns with limited seats in each during the whole day.

Main advantages: The hotel is a real 5 stars one. Nothing is missing. I've got a great discount which made our stay of very good value for money. The breakfast buffet is extra-ordinary. The swimming pools and other massage and spa services is of first class. Highly recommended.

Main disadvantages: Looks and feels like a standard chain hotel. We stayed here as part of a 3 centre holiday (Prague, Krakow and Budapest) and also stayed in chain hotels in the other places, but they had made more of an effort in terms of decor, amenities, etc. Location a bit far out from main tourist attractions. Baths can get busy with non-guests.

Main advantages: The thermal baths are a nice feature of this hotel. Also there is a good local restaurant in the (dark) streets behind the hotel.

Main disadvantages: The only thing that wasnt the best was the mattress which was very soft. So if you have back complaints then maybe take off the mattress and sleep on the bed base as we did. Just a pain in the morning and evening in putting back and taking off from the base.

Main advantages: The spa Facilities were excellent, staff were friendly on arrival and departure. Location was good for easy connection to the city with a bus, hav train and tram link within a couple of minutes walk and gets you into the city within 15 minutes. Also there is a great all you can eat and drink restaurant (Trofea grill) within 10 minutes walk of the hotel if you dont fancy eating in the hotel.

Main disadvantages: The bed was too soft, the matress was swallowing us :)

Main advantages: Thermal baths are good, the location excellent for public transport trips to Castle Hill and the old town or Zoo and Heroes Square + Vajda Castle. The Business lounge is very convenient but breakfast offer could be nicer. Business lounge is a nice place to relax in the afternoon. Staff was very friendly and helping with advice
