Travel information

From the airport:
-The easiest way is to take the shuttle bus, which can be ordered on the spot, or we can arrange it for you if you give us your flight details.
The distance is about 20 km, it takes 40 to 50 minutes by shuttle bus and about 30 minutes by taxi depending on the traffic.

From the Keleti (east) railway station:
- Take bus number 7 at the station in the direction of Erzsébet híd/Elizabeth Bridge.
- Get off at the third stop (Kazinczy utca), walk 50 metres to Nagydiofa street and then it is 300 metres walk to the hotel.

Buses number 4, 7, 9, 73,173, trams number 4, 6, 47, subway line number 2 and trolley bus number 74 stop near the hotel.

Cancellation
If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and extra beds
All children are welcome.
One child under 12 years stays free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
One older child or adult is charged EUR 20 per night and person in an extra bed.
Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.

Masa Beograd, Serbia - Group tour

Main disadvantages: I don't have any negative comments.

Main advantages: The hotel is located in a perfect area of Budapest. It is near the synagogue at the heart of Pest, within walking distance from Vaci street and all the main sights. It is also very well connected with sights that are farther away, as the metro station Astoria is just 5 to 7 minutes away. So the number one asset is its perfect location. The staff at the hotel was more than pleasant. They were young, spoke English excellently, willing to answer any questions we had, offered their help with showing us where to go, what to see. They were perfect. They also gave us maps of the city, guides, programs with shows, hop on and hop off tours and other valuable tourist information. Our hotel room was clean and spacious enough for two. We had a mini bar, a TV, a balcony as we asked for a smoking room, a spacious bathroom and wardrobe. We also had a safe in the room which was a really nice touch that ensured us we were safe in the hotel and had nothing to worry about. Plus it was a great way to store our documents, money and cards that we did not want to bring with us to the city just in case. The beds were really comfortable and the room was well heated. The room was cleaned every day and we always came back to a clean and tidy room. Overall, I would recommend the King's Hotel to everyone as it great value for money. You won't be disappointed.

Main disadvantages: Our room was on the first floor, on the street-side, so it was a bit noisy at night and early in the morning. The street was a smallish one, though, so it was not a big problem. Also, the walls were not very sound-proof; at times noises could be clearly heard from the other rooms.

Main advantages: The breakfast was good: a nice selection of eggs and sausages, but also some fruits and vegetables - and even rye-ish bread. The room itself was very nice and clean, and the safety-box in the room was a definite plus. The location of the hotel is also rather a good one: not too far from the transports and the city-centre, but far enough for the neighborhood to still be a quiet one.

Knud Tønder, Denmark - Rest with friends

Main disadvantages: Breakfast could have been better. Little variation and not easy to find a place for yourself.

Main advantages: I liked the location in the middle of an old Jewish part of town. It was very close to several sightings and close to a very nice restaurant called Köleves. The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly and eager to help.

Petra Brno, Czech Republic - Business trip

Main disadvantages: Some kind of a ventilation in the bathroom would be good but it is probably limited by the historical building's construction.

Main advantages: Good value for money, friendly & flexible staff, convenient location, walking distance to the main tourist sights, 24/7 shop close by. Fair breakfast, nice rooms. Would gladly check in again.

Sonja Portorož, Slovenia - Rest with children

Main advantages: Good location, chosen because a previous review commented it's quiet enough for a good night sleep and very close to the city centre and public transport - very true! Rooms were simple but spacious and children got a separate bedroom with their own TV and Cartoon network (in Hungarian!). Staff was extremely kind and helpful and spoke good English. Excellent value for money. I recommend it to families with children.
