Main advantages: Very convenient and quiet location. Rooms very "correct", clean, spacious. Nice atmosphere with the exposed stone on the walls and glass ceiling in the breakfast room looking up into courtyard. Staff at hotel were all extremely friendly and helpful. They made suggestions as to what to do and easily got reliable taxis for us. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return on another visit.

Main disadvantages: I only thing that wasnt good was the a/c didn't work too well. It was extremely warm in the room. had to open the windows, however wasnt much cooler outside.

Main advantages: location was great as well the staff was very friendly.

Main disadvantages: Because the internet access was not timed it was sometimes occupied by guests or their children for long periods but in our case this was no problem. We just checked in on it later to see if it was free and there was plenty of time during the day or night when it was free. In any case it was better to just get on the net without any timing pressure than to be forced to rush. When we finally got a hungarian SIM for our iphone we found that our room didn't have wireless access. The hotel says all rooms have access?! But in any case, we were happy to use the hotel PC.

Main advantages: Free internet access in hotel dining area for guest use so if you don't have your own wireless equipment you can still stay in touch with the net. It is tucked away unobtrusively in the street behind big wooden doors but it is a short walk to areas of interest. In any case public transport is good and can get you around if you are prepared to give it a go. We only needed transport to get us to a location and then we walked around a bit so a discount book of 10 tickets seemed to be the best thing for us because we only travelled a few times per day. Hotel staff are happy to help with directions and maps.

Main disadvantages: A few minor points. The wifi in the hotel is not so good in the rooms - non-existant in mine. They close the hotel door at 1AM. They have a buzzer, so you can get in, but the guy looks like his night has been disturbed.

Main advantages: As many of the other reviews have said, it's a great place. I chose it because of the reviews. I would definitely go back. It's in a good location in Budapest, and there are so many places you can walk to, from Hotel Pest. I didn't use the metro in a whole week.

Main disadvantages: Henrik was excellent at the desk, but we felt that some of the other staff lacked the amiability and communication skills that he possesses.

Main advantages: The location in the old part of Pest is wonderful - a quiet, reasonably priced hotel and quiet area off of the main streets and close to the opera, the Duna, the basilica, the Jewish area, shops, dining, etc. Henrik was extremely friendly and helpful at the desk.
