Marirena Hotel is a family-run hotel in the tourist area of Ammoudara, 4 km from the centre of Heraklion, and only 100m from a well-organized beach. It features a swimming pool. All air-conditioned rooms feature balconies and are equipped with fridge and TV. Dionysus restaurant serves Cretan and Mediterranean dishes on site. Guests can enjoy coffee and cocktails at the snack bar that is located right next to the pool. Amoudara has many shops and entertainment options. It is only 5 minutes by car from the National Road. The town of Heraklion has a beautiful historical centre with attractions such as the Venetian Walls and Venetian Port.
