Main disadvantages: Wished the weather was hotter so we could swim in their beautiful pools,
but we were there too late in the season
Main advantages: The view is the most amazing we have ever experienced! Couldn't get
enough of it! The staff is very friendly and obliging and all speak
English well. There is a very good breakfast incl freshly-squeezed
orange juice and hot dishes as well as cold.The wi-fi was fairly good
and free. Worked best in the lobby.There is a bit of a walk to the town
of Fira but do-able. Also the hotel runs a shuttle service back and
forth to the town on a regular schedule.This was the only European hotel
that offered face-cloths.I Would recommend hiring a car as it greatly
increases the number of of beautiful sites you can visit if you are
lucky enough to be there for any amount of time. We were able to do this
thru reception , right at the hotel.

Main disadvantages: Bartender was quite unfriendly and terse when we tried to strike up
conversation about he drinks he was making. Was impatient and rude when
taking our orders each time. Also, a microwave would've been nice
Main advantages: We really enjoyed our stay at Lilium. From the wonderful service at the
front desk (Maria & Anca) to the beautiful rooms and views. This place
was a breath of fresh air from the poor or unfriendly service at other
hotels. We used the shuttle service from the airport (20euros) to bring
us to the villas, which was nice. They also offer free shuttles to/from
the town of Fira, otherwise it was abt a 5euro taxi ride. Pool and views
were the best part, but the bubbling small pool is not a jacuzzi (it's
cold!) The kithenette in the room came in handy.

Main disadvantages: The hotel is a bit far from the Fira downtown, but they provide free

Main advantages: The view you see from the hotel is amazing. The hotel staff are very
informative. They recommended some restaurants and tour packages to me

Main disadvantages: The hotel charges for transport from the port to the hotel (40 Euro for
our party of 8). It is not very far and we think that the hotel would
increase their public relations coefficient by offering free transport.
Rooms 502 and 503 are least desirable because of the number of stairs
(going down the cliff-side) that are required and because there is only
a partial view of the caldera (still quite stunning unless you see what
is available in the other rooms). Our party kept room 502 for only the
one night. Breakfasts were adequate but not impressive. Dinner menu at
the restaurant is quite limited but there are so many good restaurants
in Thira...........
Main advantages: Lilium Villa's staff made this an over-the-top experience for our party
of 8 (4 rooms). To start with, this hotel is in a location with stunning
views of the Caldera, complete with a magnificent sunset each evening.
Views from the pool and restaurant area and from each of our rooms are
to die for . Maria and the rest of staff were friendly, gracious and
professional. They assisted us with restaurants, transportation and
island activities. And they were always spot on. We chose two tours at
Maria's recommendation and were blown away by each. One was a 5 hour
personal guided tour of the island (tip to tip), and the other was a 4+
hour narrated cruise along the west side of Santorini, much of it in the
caldera, with stops for swimming and lunch. We had a check in issue with
one of our party who has trouble with too many stairs and required a
room change. The communication between the night staff and the day staff
resolved the problem by the next morning after our check in. Many thanks
to them for that. Lilum is 2k from nearest town (Thira), but transport
to an from was always easy and the hotel location is well worth the
effort. Restaurant lunch and snack food is above average. All 8 of us
would highly recommend Caldera's Lilium Villa.

Main disadvantages: The back of our room was facing the street. Despite the fact that the
bed was located on the opposite side of the room as far away as possible
from the entry door, we could hear somewhat cars/bikes passing by. This
wasn't a big nuisance, certainly not to the level of impacting our mood
or quality of sleep.
Main advantages: The view of the Caldera from our room was spectacular. The room itself
was clean, and with a simple but nice design. Amenities were good.

Main disadvantages: Breeakfast seemed a litte ordinary but otherwise fine. For a 5 star
rating I was surprised there were no slippers!
Main advantages: The outstanding view and that made the location perfect. Altho it was
not in the centre that also made it nice since you were not in the main
crowds...trust me the sunset from here at this time of the year was way
better than anywhere else - sorry Oia - but it was a fact! As Santorini
is not huge staying here was no issue.

Main disadvantages: It is a little outside of Thira (not walkable) but did have a courtesty shuttel that went in a few times a day. But not regularly. I was quite pricey, but the view demanded it.
Main advantages: The view from the dining room of the sunset was truly incredible and I have seen many good sunsets in my day.

Main disadvantages: Not too much. If I have to name one thing, I would say the location is a
bit remote (I.E., a bit far from the nearest town center) for people
without a car (we had one so it was not a problem). I should also
mention that in Santorini, it would be difficult to find a hotel with
the same quality in town centers, and that it really makes sense to rent
a car or at least a buggy (a kinda of motocar that is smaller and slower
than a real car but good enough for moving around in Santorini).
Main advantages: The hotel is very nice. Our room (a suite) was clean and well-decorated.
The view from our balcony was breath-taking and totally worth the money.
The hotel staff was very friendly and patient with our questions.

Main advantages: This hotel has the most amazing views. There is a shuttle bus that brings you to town and back a couple of times a day, but a taxi only costs 5euro. The staff are very polite, friendly and helpful, especially Maria at the reception desk. We had dinner in the Hotel restaurant and it was exceptional. There were six of us and we each raved about how good the food was. This was a return visit for my husband and myself and there is nowhere else in Santorini we would stay except Caldera's Lillium.

Main disadvantages: The breakfast did not have a huge vegetarian offering and when we hasd to check out early morning we were offered a very simple substitute - one would have anticipated a packed breakfast or similar given the prices being paid.
Main advantages: The staff at the reception were very helpful and accomodating. They made all the necessary calls to organise tours for us and were flexible on bookings when one of our ferries got cancelled due to bad weather.

Main disadvantages: Some says that the location is not so convenient, but I actually did not fell that maybe it is depending on which way you choose:-) It will only take you like 5min to go to Fira city center, and we rented a good manual car for 2 days on the rate of EUR20 per day. It was little bit an experience to drive from the port on the roads up around the mountian but only that part of the road is facing cliffs. It is fine to drive on the island afterwards.
Main advantages: It was really a perfect scenery from our balcony, just directly facing the volcanos. We did not expect to have such an excellent scene with only paying for EUR100 per night including breakfast. The breakfast is also quite nice seating in a spacious room with glass walls on 4 sides. Staff there are quite friendly and helpful for information. You will get a postal card for free to post it back to your hometown. I like that......

Main advantages: The view of the Sea is absolutely beautiful. I have stayed at many ocean and beach resorts (Hawaii, Caribean, Mexico, cruises) and this may have been the most beautiful place I have ever been to. Also, it was so quiet and relaxing, the whole poolside area overlooking the Sea was like a spa. Soft music playing.

Main disadvantages: Although there was a courtesy shuttle, between Lillium and Fira at certain times, those without a car or scooter could sometimes feel a little cut off at the Villa, or obliged to make frequent use of taxis. (On the other hand, this contributed no doubt to the tranquillity of the hotel). I would respectfully suggest that the use of an apostrophe ('s) in the name. (between Caldera and Lilium) rather cheapens the name. Something like- Lilium Villa, Caldera View, though longer, would sound more elegant I think.
Main advantages: Undisturbed peace, tranquillity and the beauty of the view. Guests seemed attuned to refined pleasures. Staff were friendly and quietly helpful. The breakfast buffet was a pleasure.

Main disadvantages: The restaurant only had one cook, which made us have to wait quite long before we got our food. The local bus does not stop by this hotell, so from port, call the hotel and arrange a pick up (20 euro) or take a taxi. Alternatively, take the local bus into fira, and call hotel and ask for transport or take a taxi( 5 euros from Fira) Some children and a very full pool area made the second day quite busy by the pool....
Main advantages: A wonderfull view from the balcony over the pool, Nice rooms in white and blue, clean, very pleasant staff, nice pool area with amazing view. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun all day long, and to watch the sunset!!!! A restaurant with view!! Free pool towels from the reception. Nice and calm a 5 minute drive from Thira. Only 10 minutes from airport and port. A free minibus transport to and from Thira (Fira) 5 times a day.
