A few minutes' walk from Richmond town centre and rail/Tube stations, the cosy, popular Red Cow is a restored inn offering home-cooked bar food and comfortable accommodation.
The Red Cow has a history that dates back to the early 19th century. Although recently refurbished, many of the original features, including wonderful glassworks, have been retained.
Richmond Station has frequent rail services to Central London, and the Tube station is connected to the District Line and London Overground Line.

Main disadvantages: Rather noisy due to proximity to busy road, and from the pub below until
about 12 midnight. Room though comfortable was very small, with nowhere
to sit to eat the breakfast provided in the room.
Main advantages: Friendly staff, good food

Main advantages: Nice big comfy room. Would have liked to have a meal there but partner turned up too late! Freindly staff. And dog friendly - makes all the difference when looking for a place to stay.

Zoe Solihull, United Kingdom - Rest with children
Main disadvantages: I can see that some people may find the noise of the pub below frustrating if the pub is particularly busy or they have a function on. The night of our stay was relatively quiet, but there was inevitably some noise from the street outside. This was not a problem for us but could be for any one with a young family.
Main advantages: The Red Cow is conveniently located in Richmond, handy for Twickenham, Kew Gardens and other attractions. The area is relaxed with plenty of places to eat / drink around. The pub has a relaxed atmosphere, and the rooms clean with good facilities (fridge, satellite tv, ensuite etc). Its comfortable rather than luxurious, but reasonable value when compared to other places nearby. Staff were friendly, room was very clean, and the option of being able to check in from noon is also helpful.

Edwina Southampton, United Kingdom - Rest with children
Main advantages: The most enjoyable part of our stay was the fact that everyone was so
friendly. Everyone went out of thier way to make sure that we were well
looked after. The regular customers also made us feel welcome. We would
all come back to stay with no problem. Parking could have been an issue
but was resolved easily. We certainly struck lucky.

Anonymous , - Rest with friends
Main disadvantages: There is a lack of electrical outlets in the rooms for charging cell phones and hair dryers.
Main advantages: The Red Cow has a great location just off the beaten path yet close to shops, restaurants, trains and buses. You feel as if you are apart of the neighborhood.

Sheila Ilkley, United Kingdom - Business trip
Main disadvantages: Live music till midnight which we weren't warned about. We arrived late
at night after a long drive, tired and with a sleeping baby to be
greeted by pulsating bedrooms directly over the bar entertainment. The
shower room needed a complete refurb. Nice furniture and helpful staff.
Very very expensive
Main advantages: Perfect location

Mary , - Business trip
Main disadvantages: The maid woke us around 9:30 to see if we would be staying another night, even though checkout was given as 11. We really didn't appreciate losing that last bit of sleep. To make our morning worse, after vacating our rooms, we were looking forward to a decent breakfast, but hadn't been told that the included breakfast was actually in the rooms (inside the refrigerator hidden inside the wardrobe), so that was disappointing. Last - be careful with parking. We were told that parking was covered if we filled out their form, but we still got a ticket. The staff nicely agreed to cover the ticket for us. We'll be checking to make sure that happens.
Main advantages: The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable, considering the double was two twins pushed together. We liked the downstairs pub too, and quiz night was quite entertaining. The walls are thin, but after the pub closed everything was plenty quiet for a good night's sleep.
