| Main disadvantages: The bedroom was small but as a single traveller not really a problem. I had a wedding to go to so not allowing an early booking in wasn't great and I had to change for the wedding in the toilets. |
| Main advantages: Good range of choice for breakfast - nice to have a fish option. The room was clean and modern incl double bed in the single room. |

| Main advantages: our four poster bedroom for the 1st night of our honeymoon was perfect. we also had breakfast in our room the next morning which was superb. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. |

| Main disadvantages: This I guess is not a hotel problem, but on a fine evening, not to be able to be part of 'cafe society' and enjoy a drink our of doors is a bit restricting. |

| Main disadvantages: The only draw back to the hotel or maybe it was our room is that it overlooks The sports bar and being in the centre can be quite noisy at night. This did not effect our stay as we wanted a hotel that was central and our stay was very enjoyable. |
| Main advantages: The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room No. 16 was very comfortable and decorated to a high standard. The room was spotless. The tea/coffee facilities in the room were great with plenty of milk, tea bags , coffee & biscuits. We ate in the restaurant the service was excellent and the waiter even though busy seemed interested in our stay. The menu was very good and the food was lovely. The breakfast has a great choice something for everyone and all the food was hot. The hotel is situated in the perfect spot for getting around the town or for meeting people. |

| Main disadvantages: The situation in the middle of Keswick meant there was noise from otherhotels/bars and in particular a nightclub that stayed open till thesmall hours. |

| Main disadvantages: The tv was far too high and you had to look fully to your right and then look up to watch tv - should have been on the wall at the bottom of the bed |

| Main disadvantages: The room was very small and the decor dated. The part of the hotel where our room was located was very warm and the room itself was too hot and stuffy (even without heating). Unfortunately, even with the window open, this did not improve much. Also, the room was next to some sort of generator so, even with the window closed, it made the room very, very noisy. Hot and noisy is not a great combination - but that was the only downside and we didn't spend that much time in the room anyway. We saw some other rooms and they looked more spacious and updated. Perhaps the decor and location was because we had one of the limited number of dog-friendly rooms? Despite this, we'd definitely book there again but we'd try to get a different room. |
| Main advantages: Great location in the centre of Keswick. The hotel staff were fantastic - very friendly, accommodating whilst being professional at all times. Nothing was too much trouble. We only stayed three nights but by day two, with a full hotel, all the desk staff new our room number - made us feel like we were getting a personal service :-) A bottle of champagne on ice was in the room as requested on our arrival. Breakfast room service was fantastic also. Our two dogs were made most welcome. |

| Main disadvantages: The hotel room was that far away from the Reception, you nearly needed a bus to get to the room. It was up flights of stairs and along several corridors. There was a massive difference in price for the midweek days to the Friday and Saturday nights which is a disgrace. |

| Main disadvantages: In my experience (weekend in July 2010) rooms at the front are best suited for the very hard of hearing or those that don't object to being kept awake until after 3am by drunken foul mouthed revellers and taxi doors slamming. This is my only criticism which I accept is beyond the control of the hotel, improved sound insulation and air conditioning would make such a difference. |

| Main disadvantages: Not much in the way of car park space. People not lucky enough to have a disabled parking badge or a permit on hire from the hotel, have to pay parking fees. |

| Main disadvantages: The standard of bar food was disappointing, and bar service was somewhat brusque and unfriendly, despite there being relatively few customers to tend during the days of our stay. |
