Main disadvantages: There was nothing worth mentioning that my sister and I noticed apart
from the sheets, which I hasten to add we're very clean, made us itch!
Maybe it was an allergic reaction to washing powder used on the sheets?
Main advantages: It is excellent value and very clean and well organised. The staff are
helpful and efficient and the breakfast was extremely good value.

Main disadvantages: I really don't like separate toilet and shower rooms - it is highly
unhygienic to have only a toilet, with no sink readily available for
washing one's hands. The tv in the room is so high up that it is a
strain on the neck to watch - perhaps it could be put in another spot?
Main advantages: Comfortable bed and pillows, single tap in the sink, cleanliness of
shower room and wonderful power shower! After a transatlantic flight
that arrived very early in the morning, I was given a room almost
right away and invited to eat breakfast while I waited. Excellent
value for money.

Main disadvantages: A bit noisy in the morning (lots of traffic).
Main advantages: Nice (twin) room, comfortable bed (though a bit short for anyone over
six feet) and good service (they sorted out an overcharge without me
even asking). The breakfast was basic but fine and the location was good
(next to railway station).

Main disadvantages: The Internet access was non-existent for users of Windows 7 because it does not accept a password less than 5 characters for security reasons. Shandon House has a 4-letter password. This was really disappointing and would determine whether or not I decided to stay there again. I must have internet access.
Main advantages: I liked the location a lot, and the fact that they have off-street parking available. The rooms were adequate and clean.

Main advantages: Very close to facilities and town centre so perfectly located for shops,
bars and restaurants but also a 2 minute walk to the train station for
fast and easy access into central london. We originally had a twin room
as that was all that was showing available on line but phoned the night
before to see if we could change to a double room. The hotel were very
helpful and changed our room without any problems.

Main disadvantages: We found the pillows very hard and uncomfortable. The stairs were a bit challenging. Bathroom was a bit scruffy - paintwork chipped, floor not too clean.

Main disadvantages: It would be helpful to have rails where there are stairs e.g. outside, the stair to the dining room. Also most hotels are not set up for the vertically challenged e.g. coat rails, window catches etc. are generally out of reach.
Main advantages: My request for a room on the ground floor was fulfilled. The price was exceptionally keen and suited my limited budget. The room was spotlessly clean, bright and welcoming. It was easy to reach from tube and bus and within walking distance of my destination.

Main disadvantages: Constant sound of planes landing at Heathrow passing very low overhead. There was also a very irritating humming and whining noise all night long from some piece of machinery in or very near the hotel. Room was very warm (in October!) even with the radiator turned off, and opening the window made the noises worse. The tap water had a strange sulfurous odour.
Main advantages: Very close to Richmond Station and Richmond Theatre. Beautiful and relaxing places nearby in parks and along the Thames to take a stroll. Self-service continental breakfast was simple but wholesome, and there was enough of it.

Main disadvantages: No complaints, value for money and adequate for required short stay.
Main advantages: The room was small but adequate for needs for short stay. The location ideal as 10 minutes walk to Richmond Station allowing easy links to central london. When I arrived I had trouble with my back and the lady on reception kindly helped me with up the stairs to the room.

Main disadvantages: Mattress slightly firmer to what I am used to at home. However, that was still medium firm to my personal preference for soft matresses.
Main advantages: Friendly and helpful reception. Arrived early at 9 am. As I was tired, I requested early checkin. The manager organised a room for me within 15 mins instead of ususal checkin at 2pm.

Main advantages: In an expensive area this way excellent value for money. My single room was small but well organised and functional. The continental breakfast (English Style) was fine. The breakfast room which is partially a conservatory was unexpected light and cheerful. Very pleased with my choice. Location for Richmond was ideal.

Main disadvantages: The fact it was under the flight path but there's nothing you can do about that....everything else made up for that fact.
Main advantages: I just felt it was excellent value for money, the situation in Richmond, the decor was good and I love white cotton sheets so good again. I enjoyed the breakfast which added to the calue for money. The staff were very friendly. Not too many people to share the bathroom facility with.

Main disadvantages: Receptionist wasn't around at 12.30pm, when we found her she seemed quite miffed to be disturbed before the check-in time of 2pm. Wouldn't even begin to discuss an early check-in, so I had to leave my bags behind the desk and come back two hours later to check in.
Main advantages: Booked a basic single room at this hotel - and this is exactly what I got! Good location near the centre of Richmond and very well priced. Room was fairly small and basic but was comfortable and had all that I needed. Apart from early check-in problems, staff seemed friendly and helpful.

Main disadvantages: The room near the door leading to the breakfast area was noisy in the morning (room 5) as people were going in and out through the door in the corridor
Main advantages: Nice comfortable rooms and I could leave my car in the car park. Arrival at any time as open all night. Good breakfast.
