The elegant 19th-century Roa Island House is within an hour of the Lake District, and offers sea views across Morecombe Bay. Sitting on the water’s edge, Roa Island Hotel features a garden, cafe and conservatory. Roa Island House Hotel is a short trip from Ulverston and Barrow in Furness, and the hotel garden has scenic views over the Bay and Piel Island. Roa Island has a Yacht Club, and is close to Furness Abbey and Rampside Pitch and Putt. The Sea View Cafe is open for lunch, with packed lunches also available. The evening menu has options for vegetarians and children, and full English breakfasts are served in the conservatory, overlooking the sea. All rooms at Roa Island House have a flat-screen digital TV and hospitality tray. The hotel also features a cosy TV lounge with log burner, and a tower telescope room for impressive views over Morecombe Bay.
