Margaret Tamworth, United Kingdom - Rest with friends
Main disadvantages: The stairs up to the attic are definitely steep (bit of a spiral?) and
quite narrow. People with any kind of mobility problems would have a
struggle I would think. Glad I d only had one bag to take up ! but I
knew this before I booked so not a problem really.unless you were a bit
tipsy and wanted to use the bathroom in the night maybe. But lights left
on all night. Handrails provided!
Main advantages: Friendly smiling courteous manager and her assistant. Manager (coral??)
explained everything clearly and efficiently. Had single attic room
with shared bathrooms/toilets which were on the floor below but no
problems with that because at £20 the night including a good
continental breakfast, it was very good value for money.room had sink
with hot water.no space for wardrobe as sloping roof but adequate draw
space.bed comfy.2 Pillows. Controllable heating. The reception/sitting
room area was very comfortable, with armchairs and decent flatscreen tv.
Everywhere was spotlessly clean.when I arrived a lady was polishing the
brass handles on the doors! Would definitely stay again for any future
gigs at the flowerpot or for shopping.many thanks for a comfortable,
enjoyable stay.

Main disadvantages: I would warn people that there is a small street across from the hotel
where there is a nightclub. The smoking section of that nightclub faces
the hotel and is surrounded by other buildings so it gets very noisey. I
stayed for 6 days, but only really experienced this on the last day, and
they was tons of noise until 4am. I would warn anyone to stay here if
this could bother them. Otherwise the building could use nice touchup.
Main advantages: Sooooo close to Westfield which is a huge shopping center in Derby. This
location really is in an excellent spot (with the exception of one
thing, read the dislikes). The staff were all incredibly kind and made
you feel comfortable. Also has free wifi, but didn't work well all the
time in the rooms, you sometimes had to go to the lobby.

Jonathan Bournemouth, United Kingdom - Business trip
Main advantages: The hotel was conveniently located for my business trip although when booking I inadvertently booked a room minus ensuite meaning having to use a shared bathroom. This aside the hotel was very reasonable, clean and tidy.

Main advantages: Excellent value for money, stayed in an attic room which was small but
offers enough space for one person and is very comfortable and for 20
pounds a night it's more than great value. Bathroom is on the floor
beneath but that wasn't a problem, no waiting or queuing, it was always
empty when I wanted to use it and it was very clean! Hotel in general is
very nice, quiet and clean and well looked after. Great breakfast with
different choices, cooked breakfast was served quickly, staff very
friendly. Hotel is very close to city centre and easy to find. I enjoyed
my stay a lot and would not hestitate to stay there again.
