Main disadvantages: Unreasonable price for hotel buffet breakfast - much cheaper to go to
Tate Modern's cafe for a decent full english. Staff were generally
unenthusiastic.
Main advantages: We enjoyed the excellent spa facilities: Pool, sauna, steam room and
jacuzzi all great. The imposing seven storey atrium with glass lift was
impressive and our room was nice, with peekaboo view of the top of St.
Pauls dome. The St.Pauls area is more business than tourist, but its a
nice short walk across the millenium bridge to Tate Modern. Good value
for money.

Main disadvantages: Not enough hot water during peak hours on Saturday late afternoon on a
night of very cold winter. 'Hot water' is very basic facility which any
hotels should provide and this kind of problem should not happen at a 5
start hotel like Grange. We have stayed at Grange City Hotel a vew times
before and the same things happened.
Main advantages: A large room, a comfortable large bed and nice decolations

Jane , - Rest with friends
Main disadvantages: My friend and I were assigned a room in the annex building, which was no
problem. However, our room was on ground level at the entrance way of
the annex and it was loud during the entire night as people walked in
and out, or stood outside talking/smoking. We also could not keep our
curtain open since there was a full view into our room. Our friends had
a room on the 6th floor and were very pleased with it and said it was
also larger and nicer than our room although we paid same rate an booked
at same time.
Main advantages: The hotel is very modern, comfortable and upscale. The staff was
attentive and helpful, the woman that checked us in was extremely nice.

Main disadvantages: Everything was perfect apart from the alarm clock going off at 5am! It
had obviously been set by the previous guest but came as a bit of a
shock. Perhaps the room attendents could check them as part of the
cleaning process?
Main advantages: My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night for his birthday as we
were going to the theatre on the Strand that evening. The check in staff
were efficient and polite, and even upgraded our room! The room itself
was comfortable and very clean with all the facilities that you would
expect to have available in a hotel of this grade. As there were several
Christmas parties taking place at the hotel but we weren't disturbed at
all. Overall very good and excellent for a one night break or a long
weekend if you have the budget.

Main disadvantages: Breakfast a bit expensive. Only other criticism, I had requested a cot-bed set up ready for my son (as we were arriving late), this was confirmed when I checked in but when I got to the room and no cot! Had to wait another 30mins for one to arrive, which anyone with kids knows isn't at bedtime!
Main advantages: Great looking hotel, with rooms of a good size for London

Karen Manchester, United Kingdom - Business trip
Main disadvantages: The buffet breakfast was really disappointing. The food was lukewarm and
unappetising, and we had to ask repeatedly for coffee and toast. It was
better suited to a travelodge than a 5 star hotel.
Main advantages: The bathroom was really well appointed

Main advantages: Chose the hotel after reading guest reviews. None complained about
noise....Guest Quarters was discarded because of those comments. Pricey
but worth it.

Main disadvantages: While the hotel is beautiful, their staff needs to be either more
trained.the hotel was state of the art, but gliches occured..we were
locked in our room and couldn't get out due to the state of the art
electronics. And I feel that needs attention.
Main advantages: Beautiful hotal and great location..

Natasha Hatfield Heath, United Kingdom - Business trip
Main disadvantages: Just a small thing when I stayed there about a year ago the
toiletries in the bathroom were much nicer than the brand that was
available on this trip
Main advantages: That I had a smokers room, that was clean, modern and didnt smell of
smoke. So as a smoker it was perfect. Check in was done very quickly.
Staff very friendly and helpful, Room service was very quick. Loved the
bathrobes and fluffy towels. Great lighting in the rooms and we had a
beautiful view of The London Eye and the london city sky line.

Main advantages: I found the hotel itself to be of good condition. However, I will not be
returning to the hotel for a couple of reasons - firstly, it is not
suitable as a business hotel as there is very poor mobile reception
throughout the hotel. I had my room changed as had no reception in my
first room but found that the second room was not much better. This is a
major issue if you are in London to conduct business. Similarly, the
wireless was very slow. Secondly, the room service was almost
ridiculous. While the food itself was fine, on three separate occassions
I called to order dinner and each time the staff had no idea what I was
requesting. Clearly the menu they were reading was different from what I
was reading but they were totally confused by the entire process to the
point that it got quite ridiculous. After the third time when I tried to
order "pasta" and got asked if I wanted "duck", I started laughing and
gave up. Definitely something that the hotel needs to work on.
