Marco Bergamo, Italy - Business trip |
|
|
| Main advantages: After a misadventure with Ryanair, specially terrible staff in Stansted,
we lost flight and so we spent one more night in London... That's was a
good occasion to care ourselves in a good way with this amazing Hotel
and a really gentle slovenian person of the staff give us a beautiful
room (maybe an upgrade?) so we spent a wonderful time there!!! Beautiful
view and swimming pool!!! |

| Main disadvantages: I was a little surprised by the lack of space in the room. We had asked
for an extra bed and were also told at reception that we had a
complimentary upgrade.... Space was tight so I would have been
interested in how we would have managed in a smaller room. Teh bed was
also really only made for a teen and not an adult. We also had
colleagues/friends staying at the hotel that were also given
complimentary upgrades that had more space and two double beds in the
room when they were single occupants. Didn't really makes sense. |
| Main advantages: Very polite and helpful staff. Very impressed. |

|
| Main disadvantages: A little bit of street noise - an early morning rubbish collection -
which might not be so bad if we'd been on a higher floor and I was a
heavier sleeper. But, given that we weer in central London, it would
probably have been difficult to find somewhere wothout disturbance of
this kind (or worse!) |
| Main advantages: The spa was alovely treat - not the kind of faciility we usually have in
bhotels we choose to stay in. This trip was especially good value
because we got alast minute deal. I'd stay in the hotel again but
probably not if I had to pay the standard rates. The room was
comfortable, clean, well-equipped. |

|
| Main advantages: Great hotel, very friendly staff and keen to ensure your stay is
comfortable. We were upgraded to a deluxe room which was a nice size and
very comfortable it also had views over the Thames and Tower of London.
Would definitely stay again the only Negative about the hotel is the
charge of £23 per person for the buffet breakfast. |

| Main disadvantages: Minor irritant: The automatically charging mini-bar. If a bottle is so
much as shaken (E.G. when opening fridge door), its charged. This is off-
set by the reception staff knowing this - and deducting non-consumed
items when checking out. |
| Main advantages: Overall - met or exceeded expectations. Lovely view of Tower and Tower
Bridget (and Shard off to one side). Sound-proofed pretty well
internally (other rooms)/externally (traffic). Very friendly staff - bed
turned down in the evening, always a nice touch. Spa, gym and pool
excellent (including qualified staff). Excellent room service breakfast
(a la carte, boiled eggs cooked according to given time, etc). Bar also
good for an apero - restos. Not tried. |

| Main disadvantages: We liked the fact that it was just across from the tower of London. Also
right by the tower hill tube station, it made getting around London
easy. They have a great swimming pool. |
| Main advantages: The hotel was nice.It is very well located for the tower of London and
the tube trains. However we booked into three rooms. Two were good. Do
not stay in room 304. You are garanteed not to get any sleep. It is above
a night club that playes very loud music. We complained , it did no
good. We were not given a chance of other room. All they offerd for a
sleepless night was a free drink. This was two sleepless nights. We
complained both nights and was promised they would credit us for this
room, they did not follow through with their promise and offerd us
instead a good rate next time we are in London and we book with them.
There will be no next time. |

| Main advantages: This was my second visit to the grange city hotel and the experience was just as good as the first. All staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I had requested the same room as my original stay, on the 11th floor with stunning views of the tower, and this was catered for with no fuss. thank-you to all at grange city for a good weekend. |

| Main disadvantages: The room was not ready when we got there. Confusion over room having a balcony or not and a higher floor, when asked for a higher floor and it was a special occasion, and no mention that an authorization for the amount charged plus £50 in case of damages, then charged a second time for my original price when leaving. Asked staff about being charged twice and they said it is standard practice, but would get the original authorization back at the end of the week. |
| Main advantages: Staff were very helpful. Rooms nicely decorated and very comfortable. |

Diana Tonbridge, United Kingdom - Group tour |
|
|
| Main disadvantages: The bed was a bit uncomfortable and it took me a while to get to sleep but that might have been me rather than the bed. |
| Main advantages: I loved the fact that the room I was given was a suite instead of a normal room. It was massive! The bathroom had three sinks in it and a bath and a separate shower. The hotel staff were professional and welcoming and the beginning and the end of their shifts. Didn't get time to use the pool but it looked great. |
