Louise Glasgow, United Kingdom - Rest with children |
|
|
| Main advantages: Kath and Brian were extremely friendly and helpful. They recommended a
lovely hotel to go and eat at. The room was huge with a balcony. (Shame
about the scottish rain). Breakfast was hearty. Overall a great place to
stay. I would highly recommend. Make sure you check out the handmade
jewellery that Brian makes. |

| Main advantages: A lovely guest house in a beautiful part of Scotland and the perfect place to stay to prepare your visit of loch ness and environs. The couple who run the place are lovely, cheeful and helpful and the rooms are to die for. Everything you could wish from a bed and breakfast (and what a breakfast!) |

|
| Main disadvantages: None, but I could use this space to say even more about how I enjoyed the breakfast and welcome. |
| Main advantages: Glenavon House was easy to find on (the) Main Street in Newtonmore. Ample off-street parking was available for the occupants of the three guest rooms. The welcome was warm and the room spacious clean and tidy with tea, coffee and hot-chocolate making facilities. The shower was powerfull with a supply of soaps and shampoos. The best experience, however, was the breakfast. There was an excellent choice of food: porridge (for traditional Scots), fresh fruit (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries), yoghurt, cereal, fried, boiled, or poached eggs with sausage, bacon, mushrooms, black-pudding, baked beans, tomatoes etc. etc. all perfectly cooked and presented. |

| Main advantages: The owners of this B&B were very friendly and helpful. They posted me back the dressing gown I had left in the room, without me even contacting them. The balcony room is a lovely and spacious room - very comfortable, spotlessly clean and felt very private. Really nice, large en suite. We appreciated having the option of fruity teas and hot chocolate in the room and enjoyed the fresh fruit at breakfast. |

| Main advantages: We stayed for one night only, but we wished we could stayed longer,
hosts were extremely friendly and willing to answer any queries we had.
Breakfast was delicious. Nearby mountains and forests offer great
opportunity for walking and wildlife spotting. Proximity to cairngorms
national park makes this b&b top place and would visit again. |
