Main disadvantages: Not really a complaint but wasn't impressed with the comedian on Saturday (though a bit too near the knuckle with young children present) The other entertainment though was excellent.

Main advantages: Excellent value for money, comfortable & - food was of a great standard, plenty of choice & good service. Drinks prices were very reasonable. Location was very good for our group range (40-50) not too far from the piers etc but within walking distance. Considering it was a family hotel wasn't noisy at all. Swimming pool looked very nice although Ihad no time to use it. Friend booked a Spa treatment & commented that it was good & reasonably priced. This hotel was booked following another trip cancellation with 10 days notice & honestly think that that was a blessing in disguise. Couldn't fault the hotel at all.

Main disadvantages: Tv in rooms not very big screen and not flatscreen. In some rooms I think they are flat screens but not our room. Only 1 lift for a lot of people

Main advantages: Loved the swimming pool. Food and service excellent good location good entertainment. Some rooms a bit tired but they are doing them up, we were put in one of those rooms but asked and were moved straight away. Very relaxed hotel with plenty of rooms to sit in.

Main advantages: I chose this hotel at random from the bookings.com website and really struck gold. Everything was superb during our stay. We only stayed for one night this time but will book there again if we are in the area.

Main advantages: Very comfortable for our weejend break, handy for shops, good food, good staff, good entertainment in hotel, but was handy for us we went to an early show at Grand Theatre.

Main disadvantages: Not a big issue but because we were only bb we were made to wait for a table each morning to be seated for breakfast, as those who had evening meals had their own table. Made me feel uncomfortable waiting for someone to come over to us having to stand right near the door into the restaurant. Never had to do that at Hotels I have stayed in previously

Main disadvantages: Although the room was clean, ask not to be put in room 327 it is a depressing room to spend a long time in, dark with little daylight in room and none in the bathroom. Restaurant staff are clearly overstretched, and look well stressed, but do manage to be pleasant and give you a smile.

Main advantages: Good location, nice promanade walk to the tower, friendly atmosphere, nice food with plenty of choice. Nice indoor pool area to go to when weather is poor

Main disadvantages: The room we stayed in was very small.

Main advantages: The location of the hotel is very good. The meals were also very good,with a good choice and the service in the dining room was excellent. The choice of entertainment was very good and varied every night.

Main disadvantages: I understand my stay was a Sunday evening and the hotel was not full and therefore not many guest in the room to see the show, but I thought the entertainment offering was a little short. The singer 'Michael Cosgrove was very good but he was not on long enough and nothing followed him. This is not a grumble or complaint, merely an observation

Main advantages: Ive stayed at the Cliffs before so I knew that what the Cliffs offers is very good. On this occasion I was particularly impresse with the service in the dining room, a young man with an eastern european accent was our server and he was exceptionally good, in particular he seemed to be really going out of his way to offer the best possible service he could, he was over and above my expectations. I myself am a retired hotel gm and he just stood out as brilliant and I also noticed that he was the same with all your guests. In general all your staff were good. Regards Michael

Main advantages: The attention we received when we asked for a different room. We were sorted out without any fuss. We found the food excellent, a varied menu with polite staff. The food was the best we have ever tasted, there wasn't long to wait between courses in fact we were amazed at how prompt the service was. A very pleasant stay and we will be booking again in the near future. We also were pleased with the location, the bus and tram stops were directly outside the hotel making it an ideal place to stay.
