Main disadvantages: Nice friendly atmosphere. No long queues for breakfast. Adequate food supplied and plenty of choice. Poached Haddock and egg was a good healthy choice for breakfast. Evening meal deal was good - a bottle of wine and two courses for two persons - for £29.95 - excellent value !
Main advantages: A nice short break to relax and to enjoy the nearby Christchurch, Liymington, Poole and the new forest. The morning it rained we drove to the new shopping Mall at Southampton - very good shopping experient at John Lewis. We have stayed at the Carrington House Hotel on two previous occasions and will return and recommend to other people.

Main disadvantages: Hot drink area at breakfast is difficult to locate, tricky to get to as
toaster is on same table as teas, coffees, etc. Also verfy confined and
not really enough room to make several hot drinks to take back to
table.Room was very warm, even with window open. Eventually maybe air
conditioning if affordable.
Main advantages: A very comfortable hotel, tired looking, but the staff make up for it.
Very friendly staff, indoor pool large and clean and not very busy. Very
good comprehensive breakfast, but as everything is self service, there
can be quite a long wait for drinks and hot drink area is very small and
confined. Very good location for town centre (15 minute brisk, pleasant
walk). Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Main advantages: Good Food but rude staff. Breakfast ran out at 9am when closing time is
9.30am and staff was not appologatic until I had to call for the
manager. Will not use it again no matter how cheap the deal would be.

Main disadvantages: Room adverised freeview TV but only had terrestial channels - didn't matter for one night though. Don't use hotels much, but room service seemed expensive.

Main advantages: We only stayed one night, to attend our son's Graduation. However, from arrival to checkout everything went well. Lovely hotel, room a good size. Didn't use any of the facilities so can't comment on those. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Would stay again.

Main disadvantages: It was hot in the room, had windows open all night, and a small thing but we wanted a nightcap at the bar on returning to hotel after 11, and could not pay with cash, and the door card was not sufficient, so having waited a couple of minutes while others were served, no prob, to then have to go up to the room and get the card.........we didn't bother. nothing to the hotel which we loved, but we had a good chat with reception about 'Tripadviser' and how horrendous some unfounded reviews were.
Main advantages: Lovely location, easy parking and access to the front, spacious and good facilities, will come again and treat parents to come, lovely breakfast, our friends felt the same.

Main disadvantages: surprised nobody manning the hotel bar after 12 o'clock - a busy hotel with a wedding party - several people came into bar looking for drinks but went away again as night porter busy elsewhere - a missed opportunity for the hotel.
