Main disadvantages: Room was slightly noisy with other guests coming and going. There were notices up requesting that other guests be considerate when closing their doors.

Main advantages: Well-situated. Adequate parking. Helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable room with balcony and small, but adequate en-suite. Excellent breakfast!

Main disadvantages: we found our room lovely but the shower was just a trickle. but there was a large bath and the view of the sea was lovely .the only problem was we were to far from torquay as we like to shop and try diffrent resturants for lunch .So we had to use the car a lot ,as it is on a steep hiill. and as we have bad hips and are mature couple 'it was difficult for us .

Main advantages: we found the hotel lovely and friendly .But evening dinner menue was not enough choice the deserts stayed the same .So would get board on a long stay ..However the bar snacks were good and afternoon tea is to die for and lots of it .

Main disadvantages: When I booked I requested a bottle of Mumm champagne as it was our wedding anniversary celebration, nothing was done about that, it would be good if more attention could be paid to booking requests & an e-mail to inform us if our request was possible.

Main advantages: The dining experience was excellent

Main disadvantages: Only two minor problems - all the floorboards on the top floor of the hotel squeak and you can hear other guests moving around in the corridor and their rooms.The other,is that the bed was too soft,(but that's just a personal thing!)

Main advantages: The location of the hotel was good,close enough to Torquay to easily visit the town,but far enough away to avoid the usual noise & bustle associated with a seaside resort.The staff were very friendly and obliging,and nothing seemed too much trouble for them.Plenty of selection for breakfast,but limited from the bar menu for the evening meal,although everything very tasty.Particularly liked the lounge and public areas with their large comfortable sofas - perfect for relaxing at the end of the day with a drink from the bar.

Main disadvantages: Not a big complaint but our bathroom was a little tired and needed updating in that the bath was less than sparkling white and the toilet flush tank had a overpainted lid to change the colour this was pealing off. Accepting the basic age of the main strucure of the hotel the floorboards were very noisy and any movement down the corridors clearly heard in the room.

Main advantages: Overall impression was of every attempt to provide a efficient and friendly service to visitiors. Bedrooms were spacious and reasonably furnished. Catering was in the main excellent although one dish my wife ordered was not upto normal standard. Breakfast meals offered a good and wide choice.

Main advantages: We were touring the south coast and found the hotel ideally situated for this part of the coast. It was good to be able to relax in when we returned in the evening and get a very good meal. A lovely stay and would hope to return in the future.

Main advantages: Hotel staff very helpful. Quite a modern hotel but bedroom and bathroom could do with an update. Food very good. Recently under new ownership who have plans to improve the facilities. A pleasant walk to Babbacombe Downs. Very easy access to centre of Torquay as 2 bus routes within 5 mins walk of the hotel. Bus pass used to great effect. Lots of boat trips from harbour. Would definately use again but only when very good deals on offer.
