| Main advantages: I was worried about this accomodation as from the descriptions and photo's it appeared to be at the lower end of the spectrum of accomodation but whilst it was not luxury it was very very clean. we were welcomed by staff and made to feel at ease with the freedom to come and go as we please. Breakfast was not included but Morrison's and other establishments are close by, and the range of shopping and eateries are within easy reach, for whatever meal you may wish to take. Whilst the room was basic, it was very clean, kettle - tea/coffee provided etc. Just a word of warning from people from the low-lands. (and anyone with mobility issues) this establishment is on an extreme hill. Having said all that I would still recommend it to anyone who wanted a quick stayover for a day or two. (we were going on the Jacobite Express train.), as it is so central for all the trips etc. |

| Main disadvantages: There was a bit of a raucous outside my window at 2 o'clock in the
morning - being as it's a hostel I guess young people drinking is to be
expected. Considering they operate a 24 hour reception I didn't hear
anyone trying to move them on or quieten them down. However I do stress
that this may have been a one off incident and we only stayed one night
as touring, so I do not have another night to compare to. I would not
let this put me off booking at this hotel again. |
| Main advantages: The room was clean, large enough for a couple with a child (we had a
room with both a double and a single bed) and everything you expect from
your basic hotel was available - sheets, towels, complimentary shower
gel. We were originally booked into a double room but the receptionist
offered to change us to a family room with more space which was a
pleasant surprise. |

| Main advantages: Staff were very polite and friendly and were available round the clock.
There were no issues with returning late at night, arrangements were
made to let you in. Parking was available at the hotel. The hotel was
only 5 minutes walk from the town centre. |

| Main disadvantages: It would have been nice to purchase breakfast in the hotel or had it
with an inclusive price. Would recommend to someone who wanted a
budget hotel. |
| Main advantages: No fuss, clean and comfortable, ok for just passing through but would
have expected more for a longer stay (at a higher cost of course). Found
entrance a bit shabby and uninviting. |

| Main advantages: We got a warm welcome, car parking space and they allowed us to leave our car in their car park the next day while we went on the steam train trip to Mallaig. The rooms were warm and comfortable and it was a great location to walk into the Main Street of Fort William and also very handy for the train station. We would definately stay there again if we were looking to stay in Fort William. The cafe next to Bank Street Lodge did a nice breakfast for a very reasonable price. |

| Main disadvantages: Would have been nice for the staff to check all was to our satisfaction and then to ask on departure if we enjoyed our stay. The decor should have a lighter touch. |
| Main advantages: Cleanliness of room and facilities. The kitchen and eating area were well equiped. Quietness of location. |

| Main disadvantages: The only thing I didn't like was the mattress. There was a board underneath it to keep it from sagging. The springs poked me all night. |
| Main advantages: It was clean, cozy and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location was right in the center of town and easy to find. |

| Main advantages: Cheap, drying room available, great central location, reasonable amount of parking. Didn't use shared kitchen but it was there and looked OK. Staff nice. The rooms are a bit basic but absolutely fine. My window kept slightly opening due to faulty catch and the shower setting was stuck on pretty hot so its not perfect but I didn't bother asking them to fix them so I can't complain. Would definitely stay again. Perfect for walking, climbing in the area. |

| Main disadvantages: There were tea making facilities, but the kettle had to be boiled on the floor as there were no available surfaces. The lack of these / lack of a small table, would have been difficult for a stay for longer than our one night. |
| Main advantages: The room was extremely clean, the beds very comfortable and the staff were most helpful. |

|
| Main disadvantages: Both in the bunk room earlier and in the superior room booked through you I have to say the bed was adequate but not wonderful; mainly because the mattress was insufficiently padded and the springs could be felt through the cover. The bathroom was big enough that a shelf could have been put in for placing items like toothbrush, watch, glasses. But I've noticed this in other bathrooms at this price level. It's a little thing, but it makes a difference. |
| Main advantages: Central, convenient, economical. I had used the bunkroom before, and wanted more privacy without breaking the bank. The ensuite was spacious and efficient; it was nice to have tea/coffee making facility which I wasn't actually expecting. |
