Main advantages: The staff was really friendly, and the service was really good. The
shower in our room was broken, but they fixed it right away in the next
day. The breakfast was really good. We really enjoyed the stay.

Main advantages: The friendliness and tfulness of the staff. They realised that once we'd
booked in the room allocated would not be suitable as we are disabled.
They also offered to bring drinks and breakfast up to the room even
though this is not the norm. We decided to try and manage as we were
happy with the room itself just the stairs proved a problem. Anyway the
next morning we had to admit defeat and we were allocated another room
straight away our luggage was moved for us and we could not fault this
room either. The staff went above the call of duty and are a credit to
this hotel chain.

Main advantages: Quiet and comfortable hotel, clean and well kept. Good sized room - I
booked a single, but it was a double. Nice breakfast in large room. Good
location for Haymarket rail station (5 mins walk), so easy access to
city centre, and airport express bus stop is 2 mins away. A few
restaurants etc within 2 mins walk (no evening meals at hotel, but there
is a bar).

Main disadvantages: We had mild concern about ease of entry by burglars through the bedroom window (our room was on the basement floor).
Main advantages: 1. The reception was very welcoming and efficient.2. The breakfast was sustaining and in a lovely room. 3. The location was handy to public transport and the airport express.

Main disadvantages: No parking available - you have to access a private car park a few
blocks away (costs over 12gbp per 24 hours). Wifi only works on the
ground floor - but at least they have it, so this isn't a complaint. We
found the hotel quite difficult to find in the dark by car as we didn't
have a proper map and the Shandwick, Dalry, Haymarket intersection is
very confusing - it would have been very helpful to know that Grosvenor
place is most easily accessed from Palmerston Place. Don't let this
comment put you off from staying at the hotel as I highly recommend it -
just be a bit more prepared than we were and have a map (or access to
one on your mobile phone).
Main advantages: We booked only a day ahead and got a great internet deal. We booked a
double room with ensuite and ended up with a family room with ensuite -
a double and 3 single beds! Level of cleanliness was very high. The
hotel looks out over a small private park which is available to guests,
so if you are travelling with children this would be very helpful when
you need respite from being a tourist. The continental breakfast was
more than adequate - cereal, yoghurt, fruit, toast, croissants, juices,
etc. Wifi is available, but you have to go downstairs to access it. The
hotel is happy to store your luggage on your day of departure if your
plane/train leaves later in the day. Helpful staff, and overall a very
pleasant stay. Oh, and the chandelliers in the entrance hall are a
special touch!

Main disadvantages: The only thing which we can mention here is the fact that in the triple room we booked for three adult ladies two of us had to share a bed, which was a bit embarassing.
Main advantages: Very convenient location, a quiet and comfortable room, good value for money. We liked the traditional English style of the hotel and the fact that it was small. Very attentive and friendly staff. Good breakfast.
