This hotel sits in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, one of the most breathtaking natural landscapes in Scotland.

Situated in the cosy Highland village of Newtonmore, the hotel is over 100 years old and is very much in keeping with the local area. The family-run Balavil Hotel extends a warm Highland welcome to all guests. The interior consists of open fires and a wood panelled bar which help create the warm and friendly Scottish atmosphere.

The Balavil offers comfortable en suite rooms which are well decorated to create a home from home atmosphere.

- At 1st 2 roundabouts take the 2nd exit (signposted Aberdeen, Inverness, A96).
- At roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A96 (signposted Inverness).
- At next 2 roundabouts take the 2nd exit (signposted Inverness A96).
- At Raigmore roundabout take the 1st exit, then merge onto the A9 (signposted Perth), entering Inverness. (Slochd Summit: 1,328feet/405metres).
- Branch left (signposted Kingussie, Newtonmore), then at T-junction turn right onto the A86 (signposted Kingussie).
- Entering Kingussie and continue onto Main Street (A86) entering Newtonmore.
