The family-run Balavil Hotel extends a warm Highland welcome to all guests. The interior consists of open fires and a wood panelled bar which help create the warm and friendly Scottish atmosphere.

From Inverness Airport:
- At 1st 2 roundabouts take the 2nd exit (signposted Aberdeen, Inverness, A96).
- At roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A96 (signposted Inverness).
- At next 2 roundabouts take the 2nd exit (signposted Inverness A96).
- At Raigmore roundabout take the 1st exit, then merge onto the A9 (signposted Perth), entering Inverness. (Slochd Summit: 1,328feet/405metres).
- Branch left (signposted Kingussie, Newtonmore), then at T-junction turn right onto the A86 (signposted Kingussie).
- Entering Kingussie and continue onto Main Street (A86) entering Newtonmore.
