Main advantages: An Hotel with an incredible design and sophisticated. The personnel are young what is a very good point in the way to provide a modern and quality service with very well prepared people. I appreciate, in particularly, the personalized check-in with an informal and private style. I work in the Hospitality Industry and I will recommend this Hotel. I will come back.

Main disadvantages: The bathrooms use "vacuum" water disposal system, so when the people next door or above us decided to have a shower a 6am on Sunday morning, it vibrated through the room like a hammer. If not for that we would have voted the hotel excellent on all points.

Main advantages: Beautiful design. Location. Bed and linen all excellent.

Main disadvantages: Stupidly loud toilet flushing. Some idiot thought it would be a smart idea to install aircraft type toilets during their renovation. Dumb idea. Every time someone flushes in an adjacent room it sounds like the Tube is about to crash through the wall.

Main advantages: Cool hotel. Very well trained staff.

Main advantages: I particularly like the sympathetic restoration of the old railway hotel which has managed to keep the old character features but use them in a modern setting - particularly the dining room which has great ambience and sense of space. Some of the hotel rooms have a nautical theme and in the old part of the hotel the rooms differ so that the customers have a more unique experience. I liked the welcome drink on arrival and the mini bar healthy snacks - that is a great touch.

Main disadvantages: I did not think the 1901 restaurant lived up to the prices charged for our supper. While the duck breast was unusual and excellently prepared, the halibut was nothing exceptional. The prawn appetizer probably set the agenda for disappointment = 1 prawn and a piece of fatty bacon is not really worth 17 GBP.

Main advantages: We picked the hotel because of its easy access to National Rail and the London Underground. We had lots of luggage coming in on Rail, so the lift to the concourse level put us right at the exit to Liverpool St so we could easily walk to the hotel. Similarly, the lift also took us down to the Underground level when we left for Paddington. Fortunately we checked the works status the night before we left since the Circle and Hammersmith lines were totally closed. We enjoyed a great pub lunch at The Hart across the street, the English pies were reasonably priced, and very tasty.

Main advantages: The staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Throughout the stay there are numerous touches to the rooms, facilities and service which make your stay feel luxurious and relaxed - I would certainly stay again.
