| Main advantages: The staff was outstanding in the way each greeted us warmly every time
we met them and the manner in which they assisted with all issues.
Gerard the chief concierge is a gem. |

| Main disadvantages: The hallway outside of my room in the front section was weirdly smelly
especially later in the day (probably reflecting something genuine old-
world about the hotel, but if it had permeated the room we would've had
to check out or ask if it was different in the back section). Note: I
booked 2 rooms, one was a junior suite upgraded to apartment; the other
was the Deluxe Classic - as indicated at the end of this survey - which
was cramped and described by friend as only "ok". |
| Main advantages: Excellent restaurant, interesting mood-setting architecture, quirky but
friendly and useful concierges. Appreciated the upgrade of junior suite
to apartment, but friend's deluxe classic was cramped and only ok. |

| Main disadvantages: I must say that, since the breakfast was not included in the price of the hotel, I would have appreciated having options for breakfast, instead of a very expensive buffet which we did not have time to fully enjoy. Also, though it seems like a small thing, it amazed me that there was no coffee or tea available as a service. We just wanted a quick coffee before going to the airport and were charged twelve euros. Though the spa, sauna, and pool were included, anything connected with food was additional. |
| Main advantages: The staff at this hotel was amazing, especially the concierge who was full of information, so very engaging, and never seemed bothered by innumerable questions. Okay, that was his job, but he was so good at it. This hotel was uniquely designed and so very quiet and private. |

| Main disadvantages: n some ways it is a strange hotel. Is it a spa-hotel? No not really. Is it a business hotel? No not really. The room was fine, but somewhat strange. My room had three (3) levels, with a huge bathtub next to the only window. The bed at the uppermost level, the toilet at the lowermost… |
| Main advantages: The hotel is well located. The large open halls are beautiful. |

| Main disadvantages: The service at the restaurant gastronomique was a bit off the night we ate there. There was almost an hour wait between the cheese course and the pre-dessert course, and the staff lost track of our courses, bringing the pre-dessert course twice (we told them we already had it and they brought it to the table behind us who already had it as well...). Not the kind of mistakes you'd expect from a restaurant of that level. |
| Main advantages: Design of the hotel, the fact that it's spread across several buildings from the 17th/18th century, tied together by towers and secret passageways. Great design for the small mezzanine rooms -- much more roomy than I thought, very efficient use of space. The plush bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch. The free wifi was nice as well. The hotel staff is very pleasant and welcoming. |

| Main disadvantages: Breakfast is pricey at 25 Euros/pp. Spa was "booked" for 3 days and noone could arrange alternatives so we found a very nice and professionalspa down the street to the right of the hotel (1 minute), at corner ofRue du Boeuf and Rue de la Bombarde. |
| Main advantages: Staff is great!!! Especially the 2 Concierge. Their recommendations forrestaurants were "spot on" and not the typical recommendations fortourist traps. Location is fantastic for seeing Old Lyon, but not thebest for shopping. |
