Main disadvantages: I have ordered a bottle of Champagne in advance by email to be placed in our room prior we check-in for the birthday of my boyfriend. Unfortunatelys, the lady at the reception by check-in ask us if we wanted a bit of champagne in the room, so it wasn't a surprise anymore. I m not happy about that at all as this shouldn't happen in this hotel category. The gym and spa are not at the hotel but at the Holmes Place Club 10 min away from the hotel. This is a a lie in the description of the hotel !

Main advantages: Our Junior Suite was good. As it was on the top floor it was very quite. The room was very clean and we appreciated the big towels. Cappuccino is excellent !

Main disadvantages: Wifi is expensive.

Main advantages: Best location, the best hotel on the la rambla street. Big LCD TV and bathroom has TV too! Wide room, Tea and coffee in the room. No noise from street.

Main advantages: The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were always smiling, welcoming, and were always willing to help. The room and bathroom were modern and clean. Good location, right at the center.

Main disadvantages: We disliked the overall pretension of the hotel the music in the elevators, the constant stressing that the hotel would open your mind to art. The lighting in the room was inadequate for reading. in order to recharge or operate any electronic equipment one had to unplug a light fixture, ie no additional electric outlets were provided. Yet internet was only avaialble on a per day rate.

Main advantages: It was well located with an english speaking front of the house staff.

Main disadvantages: It took me like an extra hour for checking in. I asked for a room with an ventilator in the bathroom, but was told it's possible only in suits !!

Main advantages: The location was fantastic.Everything you needed in the room was available like the iron and a kettle for free coffee & tea.Nice touch for the complimentary voucher for 2 cups of illy coffee in the reception. There was a nice lady on the reception (don't know her name ) which seemed the head department, was really too helpful & she spoke with a lovely smile all the time.

Main disadvantages: Close to a rough district of Barcelona. Concierge provided webaddress administration of the hotel which was incorrect. General hotel website did not respond to emails.

Main advantages: Nice room, not ouside noise. Airconditioning worked properly, lift were fast and there were sufficient.

Main disadvantages: Nothing about hotel - it was great just be careful on La Ramblas - even though I knew the about crime I was still had moeny stolen!

Main advantages: Great location - a quiet haven just off La Ramblas - very comfy rooms (small side but expected in a city hotel)

Main disadvantages: It did not have too many restaurants or the room price did not include breakfast.

Main advantages: The staff is very helpful, specially the concierge. Also, I like the fact that they had umbrellas available to their guests free of charge. It was raining most of the that we were there, so it was a savior. Free internet, the location was great and the rainforest shower was really nice.

Main disadvantages: Almost everything. The style is too modern for me. When the bathroom flooded it took two calls for them to send someone with towels as the water had gone out to the entrance hall and into some of the bedroom carpeting. They offered no assistance in moving my things down the hall. The main thing I did not like (and I should have known) is they do not have a terrace or any outside area for relaxation. I chose not to stay for the 4-night non-refundable prepaid reservation I had. That decision was made before I needed of a room because of the fall earlier in the week.

Main advantages: The reception staff (especially, pronounced, Don I) was terrific.I fell during a tour in Barcelona and missed the 2nd half to Madrid, thereby leaving me without a room for 3 nights. I was very appreciative that Le Meridien had an opening for one of the nights I was without a room. When my shower flooded the bathroom they assigned me a second room. The complimentary Illy coffee was very nice.
