charged 1 euro/page, which I thought was exorbitant. The street
immediately across from the hotel is a little sketchy at night, but
not too bad.
Main advantages: The room was clean and quaint; the included breakfast was filling and
tasty. The hotel has a good location, proximity to a metro stop, and
proximity to Las Ramblas. In-room wifi was free which was critical.

Main disadvantages: Breakfast was a bit too regimented. You had to take a fully set tray even if you only wanted a glass or you had request every single item requred. The milk for the cereal was warm and not kept in a fridge and the toaster was tge slowest ever!!
Main advantages: Hotel was a in a perfect location for a city break. It was very basic but the price refelected this.

Main advantages: Its vintage look catches us most. We're in a room with balcony on the 5th floor, the view at night was spectacular. Check-in time is 13:00 and it really was when we're there. Staff are mostly amicable. Room was clean but with a lil bit too strong freshener spray. Breakfast was OK, not too fancy or poor. The location was stunning, just a few minutes walk to Rambla, Placa Catalunya, and Universitat metro station. Neighborhood is not so desolate but Barcelona is a big city, should be careful everywhere you are.

Main advantages: My wife & I have just returned from a 4 night holiday break, absolutelyknockout. the location of the hotel is only minutes from las ramblas &the airport bus stop. this hotel achieves a very high standard in allareas. the breakfast is continental, but you get more than enough. thestaff are very friendly & helpful & cannot do enough to assist you. inmy opinion, how come, a 4**** hotel only gets a 2** rating. go tobarcelona, book this hotel & enjoy.

Main disadvantages: Not a complaint - an observation: some of the front desk staff could use a refresher course in tourists relations --- i.e. smile more! And, I know the housekeeping staff do not sweep the bedroom floor daily which benefitted me as I lost a small crystal off one of my blouses and found it by accident the next evening.
Main advantages: When I booked the hotel, I took a gamble, as no one in our party had ever been to Barcelona before.; just went by the comments on website and the rate of the rooms. Pleasantly surprised that it was located in the Universitat area, and close to Las Ramblas with metro within walking distance. Would go back as it is reasonably priced, and located very close to a restaurant that served authentic paella valencia: Tallers 76. Another food place: Nostrum, just up from Tallers 76. Would recommend that guests try out the shops and restaurants within a two block radius of Husa Meson Castilla first, then go & explore Las Ramblas.

Main disadvantages: The rooms were a little small, but to be expected in Europe I guess. We were only staying for 1 night, if we were there for a week we would have definitely wanted a larger room. We had a triple, which was harder to find in Barcelona than I would have thought...if you want to stay reasonably priced. So we were happy to have 3 beds!
Main advantages: The location was great, staff very friendly, and the hotel was very clean. We only needed a hotel for 1 night in the city before we flew out the next day. So it was great for what we needed...a place to sleep.

Main advantages: Big clean room with terrace on the 5th floor with view about the roofs of Barcelona. Hotel is located in a quiet street although La Rambla + Place Catalunya are just few hundred meters away. Good breakfast with fantastic coffee which you can take on a nice terrace.
