Hotel Palace GL is an elegant hotel situated in Barcelona’s Eixample District. Set in a 19th-century building, it features 3 restaurants, a Mayan-style spa and luxurious rooms with classic décor. Main disadvantages: Only one : at the fantastic breakfast, there was no fresh orange juice (or diluted) otherwise everything perfect

Main advantages: Very nice room, personel is perfect. The roman bath are superb, the bathroom as well I do recommand the restaurant which is divine breakfast is very nice and the place for it is very nice as well

Main advantages: Everything !!! Most of all we loved the peace and quiet of our mini- suite in spite of the hustle and bustle of Barcelona !! It was, at all times a perfect haven. We also loved the staff, the doormen were attentive and helpful with all our needs; the porters were extremely polite and the concierge staff was enormously helpful with our needs to locate a medicine for my husband. We also loved the bath showers and elegant touch of the fresh orchid. We would return to you in a heartbeat if ever we are again in Barcelona!

Main disadvantages: The only complementary choice on the room tv's for English speaking tourists was the news channels, a variety channel with movies or even just sitcoms would have been nice...am sick of watching cnn bbc and sky news!!!

Main advantages: Loved everything, the staff looked after my daughter and I like we were part of the family, opening doors, always courteous and polite, nothing was too difficult. Rooms were so cosy, clean and classy and we loved the mirror which turned into a tv over the mantel!! Loved the turn down service, a special card and chocolate every night.Our luggage took 4 days to arrive and the hotel were wonderful tracking our luggage everyday making sure the airline was on top of it and delivering to the hotel asap! The sitting room was absolutley exquisite, just sitting there was calming and had us in awe of the beautiful decor. Dinner was superb, quality ingredients and probably the best pasta dish I had in Barcelona! The location was perfect for walking everywhere, only a 10 minute walk into Catalanya Square and Las Rambles, tourist buses and lots of shopping! Also a major department store acrooss the road from the square with a massive supermarket on the ground floor. Would definatley reccommend staying here and would love to be able to go back!! Worth every one of its 5 stars.

Main disadvantages: Simply perfect..

Main advantages: A piece of art..this hotel is a hidden gem in Barcelona..Palace hotel is undoubtedly one of the best hotel I have ever stayed in..the service was unbelievably outstanding, we arrived 2 hours before the check-in time and while we were waiting in the hotel bar for our room , the hotel's manager came to apologize for the something they've done nothing wrong about it and all our drinks were on the house for 2 days..room service food is amazing and very fast..the room and whole design of the hotel will take you somewhere out of this world..HIGHLY Recommended..i cant wait to go back..

Diane , - Individual tour

Main disadvantages: We were disappointed in the downstairs bar. The drinks were more expensive there than in the dining room and the drinks were about half of what we had in the main dining room.

Main advantages: We arrived early - 4 hours early. They immediately gave us a room and an upgraded room at that. The suite was delightful with 2 bathrooms!. The bathrooms were most luxurious. I especially like the rain forest shower. The concierge was helpful, even keeping our luggage for six hours after we had checked out. The dining experience in Caelis was unparalleled. We would love to return to this hotel.
